I can't get past his second form, he's kicking my ass. He has this move that takes off all your HP so even if you are kicking his ass, if you're the least bit hurt you'll die. He also has a move that freezes all my characters, almost like confuse, or daize and they just stand there and die...this boss fight is not easy. Anyone who says it is lied. I have Even with 9000 to 10,000 hp it's programmed to take away all your HP...
Maybe it was me, but he never killed me instantly. Sure I died, but it was always because I either had low health, or he froze my actions. He never killed me from full life or close to that even. Everyone usually survived to a certain extent and none of my characters were above 9000 hp. But maybe I was just lucky, I certainly won't doubt what many others have said. But I knew I had to change my paradigms and characters. I'd been going the whole second half of the game with Lightning/Snow/Vanille, and I always made it through each battle that presented itself. But I knew I needed a Synergist this time, for buffs especially Veil, which deal with those status abnormalities. I had Hope and Sazh as synergist, but I hated Hope's low hp and Sazhs weak stats, so I looked into secondary roles, and Fang has excellent secondary roles. So I gave her some synergist abilities, swapped her with Snow, equipped accessories like the one that cast veil,shell,protect,vigilance when critical. And I owned the boss straight up. He's easy to stagger, so you don't need 3 RAVs, synergist helped and I think the accesories helped a lot too. Plus I think there is a particular SAB ability that totally owns this boss. I'll let you find that out yourself. And from that I realised that Fang is pretty powerful, especially with secondary roles. Will probably use her a lot end-game. You've already realised the problems from the battle, mainly status ailments, so be prepared.I have a good idea about that SAB ability I was thinking about switching to Fang. Thanks for the information. The blow doesn't take away all your HP. No matter what your HP is though it takes most of it away. Thanks for the hint.
