OH MY GOD!!! FINALLY A GOOD UPDATE!!!

So that's it, all the debate over controls has finally been smashed (pun-tastic)!!!

Sideways Wii-mote, Wii-mote and Nunchuk,  Classic controller and Gamecube Controller... awesome :D

not does this please EVERYONE (smart move by Nintendo, they've obviously been paying attention on this) but also it opens the field to having more than 4 players play at once, think about it, 4 gamecube controllers and 4 Wii-motes is definately do-able, afterall, it's been done with bomberman on the virtual console.

I realise that 8 player Smash Bros. may be too hectic and probably a very farfetched thought but you can't help but wonder...

*drools all over keyboard*

Kirby and Pikachu... well, atleast it's a better update than "did you know you can attack in Super Smash Bros.?!?!?" or something equally DUH-inducing

one thing i'm wondering is, will there be any bubble shields anymore this time around? because in both the trailers, it hasn't even shown any characters shielding and also when you see snake in the 2nd trailer, he rolls around link and it doesn't show the shield. that's what i'm seeing. its kinda wierd, i think instead of shielding, the characters might just put up their arms to block, to make it look realistic ( in terms of the game)boo_yeah

i hope to god you're wrong, the bubble shields are an excellent block system, unsures you can't overuse blocking and also it's not infinite (like in pretty much every single beat 'em up going), also without it you lose the bragging rights of doing that thing where you block at just the right time and a shockwave sort of eminates from where you were stood... aaaaaaaaah, gotta love it!

oh i just remembered during the whole C-stick row a few pages back someone asked how you charge up C attacks. what you do is C-stick as you would a smash but just as you do it hold Z and it's the same as charging a smash attack up. See, I know how to do it right, i know how to use it in combos, i even know how to charge it up like a regular smash... but i still never use it. :P

Smashers against C-sticking!!! Woo yeah!

you stole my sig!!!! THIEF!!!1!11eleven!!

lol naw u can use it ^ ^

i'm not too bothered about the final smash's, other than the fact the cutscene will break up the action too much. if someone just picked it up and then fired it out in real-time mid-battle that would be amazing.

IMAGINE - being on the right hand side of Hyrule Temple with the camera zoomed right out and then on the other side of the stage Mario unleashes his super smash out of the blue: the background goes dark for a second, the huge damage wave flows across the screen and then a few seconds afterwards you hear a distant boom as it breaks the sound barrier somewhere in the distance. THAT would kick so much ass.

and as far as moving and shooting goes... i think that's kinda crappy : /

[QUOTE="Mr_Doodle"]Well, then I guess it's a good thing I haven't started C-sticking yet, huh? I'm a Smash Bros fan, but I haven't been in forums enough to know about the big C-stick debate. Even if I did start, I'd probably just switch back anyway, because I couldn't get used to it.KH-mixerX

It's all a matter of opinion if you ask me. I've used the C-stick ever since I started playing SSBM and never has anyone questioned me about it. Using the C-stick is niether right nor wrong. Like I said, it's just a matter of opinion or what you prefer to use. They put it in the game didn't they? Why does anyone care anyway if someone uses the C-stick? If you ask me, I'd say anyone who frowns upon it is just mad they can't beat someone who does use it. If it's faster and more efficient, why shouldn't everyone use it? It makes more sense to me. People should quit complaining about it. It's really to starting annoying. Just go ahead use it if you want Mr. Doodle. If someone gets on you for it, just ignore them. They're probably just mad they can't beat you.

lol, nowhere did i say i couldn't beat a C-sticker, it's just that the C-stickers i know abuse very petty moves e.g. Falco's >A smash attack to travel forwards at the same time, making it impossible to block OR Marth's >A Smash attack where his sword goes so high it can hit a person jumping over them.

the reason C-sticking is cheap is because you just KNOW that the people that use it are the same people who are gonna brag whenever they win, even though they're using a technique a monkey could use.

oh and to the guy saying you can't charge C-stick attacks, yes you can, you just gotta have the right timing ;)

You know, pressing up isn't the only way to jump in Smash Bros. On the Gamecube controller, you could press X or Y as an alternative for jumping, which is what I always used. Speaking of alternatives, I suppose I should start C-sticking, now that I know some of the benefits of it.Mr_Doodle

oh god no, we as Smash Bros. fans should try our best to squish abuse of the C-stick! it's easy to win using the C-stick as it requires no skill, no class and is so cheap tramps give it away on the street... if you follow me.

come on, surely me and my friends aren't the only people on the planet that frown on cheaping it in Smash Bros?!?!?!

the symbol on Gazzum's sig, you know the ssb symbol, it looks like the norway flag kinda lol.dododo902109

^.^; arg, i think im gonna try to have a different Smash Bros. pic as my sig every day :P hehe

lol, anyway. Gooey bomb... it sure has potential, except it looks a little big and potentially, very clumsy. also i hate the idea of having it stuck on you and not being able to do anything about getting KO'd except running at other people, seems like it'll take little skill to use... atleast with Proximity Mines they were small and could be hidden somewhat.

I have mixed feelings about this, but, like with everyhting else, I'm sure Nintendo will make a believer out of me
