I have also been playing this a lot lately. Bought every map now, but I still need Richter and Maria (she looks more fun too).

Nice! That's what I'd do if I played Dark Souls.

Same here. But Skyrim is keeping me busy at the moment so I probably won't start DS for a few months. Oh, Mitsuru and Akihiko are confirmed for P4:U. Nice.

???

Well, many things about Judgement suck, that's the sad part about it.

About a completely fresh, 2D HD release, that's something hard to talk about. It's like IGA needed many years to get his first awesome release, just to let off a lot of miscellaneous material after that. For the mainstream material I kind of hope they release something without so much external influence as Lords of Shadow... A game which really is Castlevania, and a game which takes more chances. This trend of releasing easy games in which you have a hard time just to get killed even in the highest difficulty setting is the reason I'm burning money here so my room stays cozy. XD

Btw, there are a few 2D HD action games getting released lately, and Bloodrayne Betrayal is something close in mood to Castlevania. I only didn't buy it because I don't have the time to go buy a PSN card.

The other day I caught myself remembering how I anticipated news on Judgement. I was hoping the game would rock like Power Stone, but it looks like it failed for multiple reasons.

What happened after is that I couldn't find many reasons to buy a new system (only got a PS3 this year, and CV definitely didn't provide much reason), and for Castlevania it seems people lost even more faith on it... This doesn't sound natural to me, though. I always saw CV as a series with enough material to make good spin-offs, I know I'd buy a party-fighting game (or anything done right) based on it.

After playing all stages till 8, I have to say I was disappointed by the last stage; stage 7 is much better filled in comparison.

So, I'm beating the whole thing as Shanoa. She's quite consistent after some time is invested, but I'd like to be able to use the other weapons I've seen she can use in this game; only managed to get one Pneuma (any point in using a confodere and a pneuma?) and 3 subweapons.

Can't wait to see Castlevania and that demon world.

@angelbless: I really hope they don't make one now. XD

@chang_1910: even though I bought the game on friday, the connection is too messed up, so I ended up only getting it mid-saturday. And how's Richter?

@OmegaAce1313: Fuuma rocks hard in this game.

So, while buying the stuff, I noticed that I didn't really have money to buy all of it, so I ended only buying our NES buddies, the normal stages, and the second music pack (the one that isn't depressing to listen).

As for the game, I need to teach my father how to double-jump. =S

I don't know why your names became links.

I'm going to buy all the stages and characters. I wasn't going to if this was the same as the 360 version, but the ones I was going to skip were made ready.

Now, as for the music... Hmmm... Things didn't go very well in the music direction from what I heard, so I'll stay with the other DLC.

Can't wait to play as Fuuma.

Nice to see this topic here. But once I read semi's post I got confused.

Well, the one game I can call a definitive Castlevania experience is Super Castlevania IV. They've really gotten the stages well done in that one. Music also fit it perfectly. Nothing much I can say, it was almost a perfect game.

Castlevania Order of Ecclesia comes really close, but while it's my favorite CV, I don't think it is a CV experience as much as Super Castlevania IV is. You don't have a Belmont, nor Alucard, and while there are references to the Belmonts, I don't think it's the same thing. All of that is helped by the fact that Order of Ecclesia is too grim for the Castlevania series. So it's not a title I'd recommend for a strict CV experience, but it's one I'd recommend as a definite 2D action platforming experience, specially if the targeted person digs this kind of setting.

But those I mentioned aren't the ones I'd recommend if someone wanted to get a feel of the series. The CV series isn't exactly about being the best it can be every time, so I'd recommend games such as Portrait of Ruin for the various modes or Symphony of the Night for the availability. I'd also recommend Castlevania Chronicles depending on the person.

I'll only be able to get this game friday too. I'll use the opportunity to buy Elevator Action Deluxe and BloodRayne too.
