This just seems like nit-picking to me. UI problems are easily fixed, and although they shouldn't really exist in the first place, they aren't major. The things that this guy is complaining about are inferior to what any gamer would want the Vita for: the games. While other uses are welcome, it's a gaming console first and foremost, and so should be judged under that light. As many other people have said, comparing the 3DS or the Vita to a smartphone is absurd. Yes, an Iphone has a better UI than the Vita would, but you seem to forget one important detail; THE IPHONE IS A PHONE. The UI of a phone is one of, if not the most important things. Also, as other people have pointed out, smartphone games are pretty much limited to extremely short burts of shallow gaming, although there are exceptions. They are good for a short trip on the bus or train, but if you need your gaming fix when going to someone else's house or on holiday, it just isn't enough. The only real critisisms I have for the Vita is being limited to one gamer account and having to buy a seperate memory card. The price, while rather expensive, isn't anywhere near as bad as I originally feared, and I think the game prices are right on the money. In the end, the Vita is not a phone, it is a gaming device; if the problem doesn't have a direct effect on the games, does it really matter?
