I'd be psyched for an update on the phantom follow-up to Crimson Skies! I'd be happy with either sequel--I simply think that the 360 needs more vehicle-combat games.

Crimson Skies: High Road to Revenge = best arcade flier EVER. this needs a sequel on the 360.
I agree with mechassault. Althought i'd be happy with simple remake of the first one, since the sequel was mediocre at best. certain mechs on certain maps, couldn't take any mech you wanted, that all really detered from the second.
i do feel my opinion matters more.
But...
1. didn't know there was a demo til a read a thread here on GS
2. haven't had a chance to dl or play demo to form own opinion
3. at work for 8 more hours, and bored out of my mind
so, i just wanted to ask around and see what people thought. Thats why i enjoy being part of a gaming community. So i am not alone and I have a wonderful resource of other gamers to draw from.
and thank you for giving your opiniion in your second reply. That's the kind of thing I was wondering, and I value Your input. ;)
[QUOTE="Flynns_Shadow"]Wouldn't it be much easier to play the demo and see for yourself?Anyone have any thoughts or advice?

so you're a mod and being unhelpful, go figure.
I thought i could come to the forums and ask questions, get advice, that sort of thing.
I asked for opinions because I enjoy seeing what others think. So sorry for taking up forum space :P
as the topic says...
i haven't had a chance to play the demo yet.
If you played Crimson Skies: High Road to Revenge on the original Xbox, you know the kind of game it was. I loved/love that game, although it was an "arcade" style flying game.
Now, I've seen some posts claiming HAWX is too "Arcady".
I am really looking for a flying game that gives me the feeling that Crimson Skies did. I am not a big fan of Ace Combat games, don't like the "lock missile, move on" style of flight sims.
Anyone have any thoughts or advice?
look for the duds too. check your game manual if you don't know what I'm talking about. Taking out all the duds leaves many fewer words to pick from.
also, if you back out of the terminal before you hit the limit of tries you can then relog on and come back in and you will have an all new set of tries. The words/puzzel will be different, but you don't have to keep reloading a save if you don't want to. (also, the words will change everytime you load to retry anyway, so this might very well be faster.)
