Funcom did something similar with the theme song to Secret World (potential spoiler) that is featured on the trailers and most notably on the log-in screen. At first I thought it was just a beautiful piece of music but I had no idea it would come to play in the game later. Even when leveling skills and gaining abilities you hear chimes that sound just familiar enough to jog your memory. It was a nice touch.

So much hate... TSW did what it set out to do, and that's stand out from other MMO's. I'm sick of the same high-fantasy RPG's and the classes therein. TSW is a good game in it's own right like GW2 is, or SW:TOR. I play all of them. In my opinion, TSW has the best story of them all. The combat IS different, and despite what people say, I think it's a refreshing take on fighting otherwise it would've been just like any other game. The game's fine. It still has a strong player base, and I know I'll be playing for a good while. I enjoy building my decks, I enjoy the lore. At the same time I'll keep playing my other MMO's as well.

These comments made my day. But in all seriousness, I do agree that EA has its hand in TSW's business model. F2P is really the way things are going along. As far as TSW is concerned though, I beta tested for a few months and I was pleased to see they were listening to feedback. Funcom isn't trying to be like anyone else, and I respect that much. I had fun with it, but it's not for everyone. The game bashing isn't really respectful though =X Just saying.
