There aren't any game companies that are really that innovative this generation. Few develoeprs are actually trying to make games differently. Developers like bungie, epic, insomniac, and nintendo are doing very little steps in making a difference. nintendo calling the "wii" innovative, just replaced a joystiq with pointing and calls it 'innovative', insomniac creates different weapons and calls it 'innovative', bungie creates this gimped mod system and calls it 'innovative', and epic creates this engine that makes 'innovative' textures. These are the devs that imo are making the biggest leaps in videogames.

ThatGameCompany- This is probably the first company to try and make videogames into 'art'. Games like flow, cloud, and flower are works of art. Amazing visually, and sound that makes you feel good. The art is fresh and new aswell.

Queasy Gamse- Another developer that is doing the same exact thing as thatgamecompany. Implementing videogames, to both be fun and creative at the same time. The feeling of creating your onw music, is something comepletely new in the videogame genre, and was first seen in another great game (rez).

MediaMolecule- Littlebigplanet is not as innovative as these titles before, butis probably the first game that is only made up giving users the choice, and is probably the first game to be entirely made up of a mod.

Maxis- The only company that has been innovative throughout its whole career. Will Wright is probably the most innovative developer in the gaming industry. Spore takes a common notion, and with a high budget recreates it: evoloution.

Team Ico/ Sony Japan. Another innovative godly developer. Fumito Ueda, Tsutomu Kouno, Masaya Matsuura and Kazuhito Miyaki. Creators of Locoroco, , ICO, Ape Escape, Parappa, and patapon. Created a new type of playing games when controls are became more and more complicated, simplfied them.

One of my main reasons for thinking that the Halo series is overrated is the main character. He bearly even says anything. He is a tool of his superiors and has no control in what he does to change the future. All he does is follow orders.

Then there is his name.

He is named after a REAL millitary rank. That is the lamest thing I have ever seen. They could have named him something like, Bob, or John. Hell, Link is a better name than Master Chief.

Then there is his face.

I bet that if he got in a fight with either Solid Snake, or Link, they would knock off his helmet and fall to his knees and/or featal position with both palms of his hands covering his face screaming,"AH MY FACE! DON'T LOOK AT ME!!!" **cry**cry**cry** Come on now even Nathan Hale and Marcus Fenrix show their faces.

Then there is his work antics.

So a supersoldier is made and is commanded by his supiriors to do their bidding in a battle, war, wahtever. Sound familiar right? You might be thinking of captain America. He is an american supersoldier. The difference between him and cheif is that while they both get the job done, Capn. dwells on the past and is always uncertain of what will come of the future. Cheif only does the mission. That is his only purpose. The Arbiter is more badass than him really.

They can fix the story in Halo 3 all they want. I'm not going to like it until a badass is the main character. Not some faceless/emotionless dealer of death who doesn't even question his existence.

I still love Master Chief, hes very cool and strange. I like it that he barely talks, it just means when he does talk, everybody is listening..
