Yes, the DLC is the only way to get the items this time. That's why Sega is releasing the game at the reduced price of $15, so you can then just buy what you want.[QUOTE="FPSDad1161"]So is the dlc the only way to get the customization items, or is it just a way to unlock them all without buying/unlocking the items in game? Also is there no quest mode this time?Virtua_Souls
All items are unlocked right when you buy them, so yes, you don't have to earn them anymore.
And yes, quest mode is out in VF5FS. Sega has said that due to digital download limitations from Microsoft/Sony, they were only able to make the game a maximum of 2GB, so some things had to be cut.
VF5FS does have some great single player modes, but nothing as vast as VF5's quest mode. I think that VF5FS is more focused on having an amazing online mode and awesome tutorial and training modes this time.
Damn, I loved the quest mode in VF5, but i figured the space limitation was probably the cause. Too bad. Still going to be a hell of a game even without it.Wow. I just don't know what to say about this. How is it boring? I find SFIVAE2012 to be more boring to watch and a lot of times play than I did any of the times I played VF5.[QUOTE="FPSDad1161"][QUOTE="TecmoGirl"]
And easily the most boring one as well dad.

lol I dunno honestly. I usually love fighting games but I tried playing VF a few times and it was just impossible to enjoy(hella difficult to play as well). Maybe it's the lack of flashyness and crazy combos but then again, I love DOA games and they aren't exactly shining with flashing special arts either. But it's much easier to play and have fun with them.
I've played both the DOA and VF series. I love them both honestly. They are actually similar in a way. They both feature the same control scheme and kind of have similar fighting systems. I will agree that VF is more complex than DOA, but they are both great fighters. Would have love to seen a DOA vs. VF game before Itigaki left Tecmo. Would have been f'n amazing.[QUOTE="FPSDad1161"]I voted AAAA and am hoping for that. VF is one of the best fighting games period.TecmoGirl
