They seem to think that a simple kind of narrative doesn't make a good story in a game. I've played Marathon for years now, which has it's entire story told in little bits in scattered computer terminals. It's still one of the best narratives I've ever read. The writing is so good that it can be totally cryptic and weird (which it is a lot) and the player is still totally engrossed and determined to find the next bit of info in the next terminal. Seriously. If you've never played it, you have no excuse. Especially since you can get it for free.

"The obsessive player feels he/she has to play, does it too much, and gets less fun and satisfaction out of it." I'm glad I don't fall under that category. What about MLG people? Do they actually get satisfaction out of playing and loosing? Very good article. I'll be looking forward to the next part.

Wow, the difference in texture is quite amazing. 360 has much better texture rendering in this case.
