Its not the godly i7 :roll: the Price and performace ratio for me the Phenom II is def worth it for me build two comps costing $ 775 eachwith the Phenom II 920,Ati 4890, 8gb ram and has been outstanding for my gaming needs (crysis,cod4, farcry 2, ut 3) cant complain. My vote for phenom II.

Hey guys just wanted to get another enthusiast's opinion on my rig.

• 8gb DDR2 800
• Cooler Master V8
• Antec 900
• Windows 7 RC
• on an LG 42" 1080p LCD

Laptop

• MSI GT735
• AMD x2 ultra
• Ati 3850
• 4gb ram

In safe mode it runs windowed I can maximize the window but its not the full screen. I m not sure what background process could be affecting the game all my other software and games run fine. Ill check out that site maybe that can help

it would run perfectly fine... although what rez are you playing at? It may not be worth the upgrade if you're playing at say 1680x1050.. although it's all personal pref on what is worth the upgrade

well I play all of my games on this card 1280x720 on the 4850 for some reason when in game i dont get alot of resolution choices but I am playing on a 37' lcd tv i seem to be limited for some reason. I just been thinking about it mainly due to maybe the greater bandwidth from the GDDR5 vs the 4850 and for later upcoming games. I recently bought FEAR 2 and it detects everything at max, 4x AA etc but when I play it whenever I turn very fast the game brielfy pauses and i was thinking maybe cause of only 512mb on the 4850. I can play crysis and farcry 2 pretty well. I have been thinking about getting a 4870 1gb for a bit but didnt know if it would be worth it considering i only have 4gb of mem and running xp.
