@amyh7292: The game is definitely not going to be as fun without friends but the good news is theres nice sites like destinylfg.net and other sites like these that you can use to get fireteams together for raids etc. I for the most part have had pretty good success with it, although it can be a little bit daunting. There is matchmaking later on when you do strikes and things like that but unfortunately nightfalls and raids wont have these so you'll have to hop on over to some of these sites. For the most part the community is pretty helpful and hopefully some of the folks here are willing to help out as well. Good luck and have fun guardian!

Hey guys! Glad to see a nice healthy discussion about Destiny. As you all know I'm still a big fan of the game and a lot of the reasons why are some of which you mentioned. The game is of course flawed but I find ways to see past that or I find myself having fun with my friends and kind of forget about those flaws. Also, I will say they've made pretty big strides since the release of the game and am hoping they really step it up with The Taken King. We'll have to see if they ever get story telling and what not right but they can probably only stand to improve from here on out. The game still has some of the best shooting mechanics out there and I find myself jumping on each day for at least an hour or two to do a nightfall or prisons of elders or just some bounties with friends. The cash grab/dlc thing kind of sucks, but for me as I've said before I feel like I get good value out of these dlcs and as much as it sucks to say I'll keep paying, I will. As long as they keep getting better and deliver better content of course. If it goes down hill we'll just have to wait for Destiny 2 which will probably be the more perfected version of Destiny.
