Hello,

Some of you may remember me from a week or two ago when I was asking help about my build.

Currently Newegg is not allowing me to purchase the motherboard I was hoping for:

EVGA P55 SLI 132-LF-E655-KR LGA 1156 Intel P55 ATX Intel Motherboard

So can you guys recommend me a motherboard for the build I have

Inteli7 950

Cooler Master HAF 912

EVGA GeForce GTX 460 (Fermi)x2

Western Digital Caviar Blue 1TB SATA

G.Skill RipJaw Series 4GB (2 x 2GB) DDR3

Corsair CMPSU-750TX 750W

LITEON Black 18x DVD-Drive/ 48x CD-ROM

ASUS 23.4" HDMI Full1080p Widescreen LCD Monitor(already purchased)

Corsair Hydro H70

Also if there are any problems with this build can you guys please point them out to me and suggest ways to fix it. I'd prefer if my first build went off without a hitch.

I forgot about the heatsink...so you're telling me that that the heatsink that comes with the i7 is awful? Is it really that bad.

P.S. I don't know much about heatsinks, haven't messed with them much so I don't really know what's a good one to get.

I have no intentions of OCing this thing because I want this thing to last as long as possible and I don't want to mess around and screw it up and I prefer the 460GTX, it's cheaper and I'm already probably over my budget for this.

P.S.S. Does anyone know what combo my motherboard is a part of, because it refuses to tell me and let me add it to my cart.

Thanks to all of you who helped me with this, for I would never have gotten this thing to work without your advice.

Alright that's what I figured on doing instead of getting them all at once when they might not be on sale.

So here is what I think will be the final list of parts for the build

Inteli7 950

Cooler Master HAF 912

EVGA GeForce GTX 460 (Fermi)x2

Western Digital Caviar Blue 1TB SATA

EVGA P55 SLI 132-LF-E655-KR LGA 1156 Intel P55 ATX Intel Motherboard

G.Skill RipJaw Series 4GB (2 x 2GB) DDR3

Corsair CMPSU-750TX 750W

LITEON Black 18x DVD-Drive/ 48x CD-ROM

ASUS 23.4" HDMI Full1080p Widescreen LCD Monitor(already purchased)

Hey quick questions, can anyone recommend me a good Fermi, preferably 1GB the one I chose is a bit expensive, and should I buy two or just get one and wait for a price decrease before buying a second one. Finally, should I build this now or wait a month or two, and if I wait, should I pick up the parts that are on sale now and get the rest later?

Thanks for the case ideas, I actually ended up deciding on the

Cooler Master HAF 912

simply because I don't like having the LEDs on my Desktop

and I went with the Antec EarthWatts EA650 650W PSU over the one I chose because it's cheaper and I'm pretty sure it doesn't have to be that overkill

and to the one who mentioned the i7 950, I went with that over the one I decided on. Still don't know how I missed that one.

Yeah I figured that the power supply was a bit weak when it came to powering it and after doing a bit of looking I've stumbled upon this:

Case:Antec Three Hundred Black Steel ATX Mid Tower Computer Case

PSU: Corsair CMPSU-750TX 750W

Are these good enough (and compatible with the rest of the parts)?

Also I would like to thank everyone for being so helpful with this.

thanks for the input, I've decided on the 24" monitor, it's a step up from my 17" laptop screen, but I'm sure I'll get used to it

Alright quick question, what size monitor should I get the 20" 720p above or spend $50 more and get a 24" 1080p monitor? The desk that I'm going to be using it on is roughly 47"

ah I didn't know that, so yeah hopefully by the beginning of November (or Thanksgiving by the latest) the gtx 460 will be cheaper. Personally I rather get a cheaper HDD at first and then upgrade later because that is the least of my concerns when it comes to the computer and although it'd be cheaper to get only one gtx, I'd rather get two because I have the money now and I'd rather not worry about it later. Besides I might not have the money later due to things popping up (which has happened a lot recently). Thanks jedikevin2. Also can I assume that this build will actually work and everything is compatible with everything else?
