@sergeantjack619: https://www.vg247.com/2017/01/04/video-game-release-dates-2017/

For Honor and Ghost Recon will be really cool. (I hope lol) Plus Vikings, Resident Evil 7, Red Dead 2, and Dawn of War 3 to name a few. I really think it will be a good year.

Hello all I just have a quick rant I wanted to get out real quick just so I feel like it has been said. I have been a gamer since I was 7 years old playing Dragon Warrior on my NES. I am now 32 and I can't help but feel being a gamer today is added stress for no apparant reason. I first felt this stress the other day when I was looking at the upcoming releases from Jan - May and I must say their is a freaking ton of crap coming out. While this is a good thing, the problem I am having is most of the releases are series I really like. That being said with publishers today judging the continuation of a series on "units sold" I feel like I have to go out and purchase everything coming out, allowing me to feel I have contributed to the survival of a franchise. Then when I get home it goes in a dusty corner because I already have a massive back-log of games I am just now getting into X-COM 2 and Uncharted 4 to name two.

I know this is a stupid problem but I know I can't be the only one feeling added stress being a gamer today, compared to 25 years ago. Maybe it's just me... I just feel the solution is spacing games out on the game calendar more throughout the year, so every game get a little bit of lime light. Vikings: Wolves of Midgard a smaller game that looks like a lot of fun is going to get sunk coming out a week after ghost recon, and the same week as Mass Effect! Complete insanity...

That's all I got. Thanks for Reading!

Anybody else leave the first auto garage, see a car coming down the road, and immediately attempt to drag the driver out and steal the car?....

Probably the best 1st RPG is Pokemon. It's simple, but deep at the same time, it has a wide variety of creatures to use, so their are bound to be some that she'll like, the story is fun without been overwhelming, it's perfect for beginners.

You only mention a PS4 so let me throw this out there, why not give Diablo 3 a shot?

The skill tree system has been simplified to a much more streamlined system, and you can map any attack to any button. It's two players so you can both play, and the best part: There is tons and tons of loot to collect!

Good lord, now I want to play it again.

@spike6958 Didn't even think about Pokemon thanks!

@Allicrombie hahahahahhaha

Hello all! Me and my 8 year old daughter spend time playing games on the weekend and in the evenings, mostly me playing and her watching. Her favorite games to watch are Tales of Zestiria, Dragon Quest Heroes and Fallout 4. Lately she has been wanting me to make her a profile on the PS4 so she can start playing. The problem arises because while she is very smart, I think most current RPG's with skill trees, and a lot of equipment management, would be to much all at once. I was wondering if their is something a bit more "simple" to get into the genre with. My first RPG's were Dragon Warrior 4 for NES, and Final Fantasy 2/4 for SNES, and they were just simple enough for me to get into the genre. Anyway thanks in advance for any input.

Ok about an hour ago I ran into a random mob of monsters and fought around for a while but suddenly I noticed an NPC on the side just kicked back leaning against a tree. I did die but while the screen was telling me that I died the monsters just stroll off leaving the NPC to just sit there minding his own. After this I started to think about it. Not one NPC says crap about the hell on earth that is happening in the world. They all just ramble on about their homeland, useless legends and riddles. Its almost like everybody is a ghost that only I can see. Anyway I just feel if the monsters don't even notice the NPC's it just kinda takes some of the immersion away. Thanks for listening I suppose my rambling makes me sound like an NPC lol
