I have never thought about that. My ps3 stands vertically against the tv. Is that too close? I never really experienced overheating but is that bad if it's that close?

So I'm probably going to get Infamous anyway because it looks like a great game but I also want a FPS to play online as well. Which title do you think is the most popular online or which do you guys prefer to play online? I was thinking either Killzone 2 or maybe Resistance 2. Which one is more fun online or do you have any other suggestions?

That now since they released FFVII they will remake it? JK

Seriously though, do you think they will release FFVIII? I have wanted to play this FF for the longest time but I haven't been able to get my hands on it. I hope they release this in psn soon.

Uhhh, how could you say Resident Evil 5 is overhyped? I don't think it's nearly being as hyped up as Killzone 2, and if anything Resident Evil deserves IMO. I played the demo and I was definitely satisfied with the graphics and gameplay because they are both major improvements from RE4 which was alreadya great game. As far as Killzone 2, I don't know. Part of me really wants it to be a great game and that the hype is just getting people ready for the game, and another part of me says that its not going to live up to expectations. I would rather go with the first option for the sake of having a good game comeout. Either way I'm waiting for RE5 to come out because I'm low on money and I'm only buying games I am really looking forward to.

On a side note, which online multiplayer is better, Resistance 2 or CoD WaW? I have played CoD but I haven't played Resistance 2 and I would rather get an exclusive title but I am ultimately going for better multiplayer.

i dont have r2 but i have played the first one and i would say its pretty good. I personally love mgs4 but it might not necessarily quench your thirst for action but its defonitely a game you have to experience at one point. I reall want to play fallout 3 so i cant suggest anything on that although you should think about the fact if you would enjoy an rpg. As far as length, mgs4 is pretty short but you may want to beat it multiple times especially if you want to do a bbe run. R2 would probably replYable as well for its online.

I actually did not know that ffxiii had a sort of dream aspect to it. I havent played it yet and I plan on doing that sometime. As for ffx, I want it to be different than that. FFX focused a lot on sin itself rather than the fact that tidus was a dream.

The whole dream served as a twist at the end. In my idea, I want the dream to be a theme throughout the game. Believe me if I had control over this game I would not leave it with some stupid plotwist cliffhanger, I would give it a good ending.

The story has'nt been refined, this is just a general idea for it so keep that in mind. Also about the sense of acclompishment in the game: What I wanted to do is later on in the game clear up the line reality vs. dream and also play the dream world into reality so that it has significance to the plot and gameplay rather than it just be another plotwist.

Well I suggested this in another thread but I actually want to get feedback for this.

The game starts out with a camera shotto the legs of someone running, he is running through the rain and splashing through puddles. It is a dark broken city in the background and then the camera changes views to some guards chasing the main character. The camera is kind of shaky because its trying to get that running feel. The camera zooms to the main character's mouth and chin and you see him breathing heavily and the warm air of his breath mixes with the cold night air creating the breath mist/fog. The main character runs into a broken building and goes to the 2nd floor. He is trapped by the guards so he grabs and 2x4 or a pipe and breaks the window and jumps out cinematically. He rolls onto the ground and finds a few other guards. The camera fades into a fighting sequence (either turn-based or real time, can't decide) You learn the basics and fight. The fighting scene ends with you neutralizing the gurads momentarily and you see a fight sequence with the main character and the enemy soldiers/guards. You keep running and the guards keep chasing you and eventually you run into your mentor/role model type person. He takes you to a safe houseand there is some background story revealed about the enemy soldiers taking an imperialisric approach to conquering the city and it has been run down by evil. You find out that the main character is part of a rebel group along with his mentor and he talks about how he wants to do something but his mentor says he isnt anybody to make a difference. It goes onto things about honor and fighting for what you believe in, through all of this it is revealed that the main character's parents were killed as a result of the civil war in the city because they fought. Soon the enemy troops start coming and they have to escape. The main character gets caught in a moment of rage and decides to fight the troops even though he is outnumbered and not well equipped considering that the enemy troops have latest technology guns. He fights and eventually one of the troops shoot him but his mentor jumps in front and gets shot but the bullet passes through and goes through the main guy's head and it goes to a cinematic sort of shadow/negative view of him getting shot. The camera then fades to the main guy sleeping alongside a tree and another character is trying to wake him up. He explains that he had a dream again, the same one he's been having for a while and it has been going sequentially to the other dreams. He explains how the people in real life seem to be in the dream and are paralleled to real life. He also asks the other character if he ever feels like maybe he is living a dream and maybe the otherside is reality. You find out he is actually training to be part of an army in his city. The enviroment is completely different, it is much lighter. The whole time through this rpg the line distinguishing reality vs. the dream is thin so the player doesnt know what reality is. The dreams he has occur much more frequently throughout the story and you later find out what reality is and there is a sort of a twist and all.

I thought this would be a great idea for a final fantasy if some of the developers clean up the story and implement some of their own ideas.

1st of all some of the comments here are just win, for example the kratos in hello kitty world and the tying up the loose ends with harold and the drama and everything. just hilarious.

Anyways to my comment, I feel like that is kind of cheesy, especially the guy with the robotic arm because of an accident. The gameplay aspect of it sounds interesting though....

My idea for an rpg which will probably never get through:

The game starts out with a camera shotto the legs of someone running, he is running through the rain and splashing through puddles. It is a dark broken city in the background and then the camera changes views to some guards chasing the main character. The camera is kind of shaky because its trying to get that running feel. That was a lot, hopefully someone reads this.... I feel like if square enix made this into a final fantasy and came up with their own ideas for the story it could be pretty cool.
