Eminem in his prime is definitely better than Lupe. Lupe is a respectable rapper so I'd never hate on him and I like his last album, but listen to something like Biterphobia by Eminem; that really shows his lyrical ability. Eminem beasts on multiples in his rhymes. I don't like Eminem's latest albums that much, I'd say the only respectable song from Relapse was Underground/ Ken Kaniff. I can't figure out if Em just lost his steam or if he sold out. Listen to old Em and his old freestyles (find them on youtube) and you'll see he had some real skill. If Lupe gets better or even just keeps his skill up I'll say he's better.
Until they both die or end their careers or something and we have a whole representation of their work, It'll be easier to decide who is better. Conclusion: Old (The real)Eminem>>>>>Lupe as of now. Eminem has enough material to back his skill up to overshadow his recent shortcomings.
And whoever said Lil Wayne is the best.... I'm sorry but I just can't take Lil Wayne seriously as a good rapper. Most of his punch lines don't really make sense or he makes things up in order to rap. Look at his Tim Westwood appearance on youtube, he can hardly freestyle. There's a difference between making music for the sake of it sounding good and arguably fun to listen to and making music to show talent. Sure Lil Wayne's popular but so is Soulja Boy and no one can honestly say he's a good rapper. Lil Wayne is just pop music, easy to listen to and doesn't have much substance.
