So I have a X360 Arcade, but I'm working out a deal w/ a friend to get the Elite system on the cheap.

Point is, how does the "transfer" of my stuff onto the new machine work?

I'm talking about

1. My Game related: Saves/Setting/Patches

2. Downloaded content: such as Arcade games I had to pay for, or dashboard themes

3. General Settings of my system

4. My online account

Do I just grab my 20GB Hard Drive from the old unit, and swap it into the new unit? or is it more complicated than that?

Can anyone here who got the $20/$30 20 gig promotional hard drive from Microsoft to go with their Core/Arcade system tell me how long the shipping/processing took?

I just ordered one this morning, and I can't find any info on when it would ship, or when I can expect it. Kinda strange.

OK, I could not find a clean scan on the internet.... so, I just scanned the cover art from my own collection. Here it is. Please replace it when you get a chance, because the cover art now used is for another game altogether.

Gaming on the consoles usedto be a lot cheaper in the PS2/Dreamcast days. However, now with systems like 360 and PS3 costing so much, and needing all the add-ons (not to mention xbox charges you for multiplayer!!!) +HDTV. The tables have turned... or at least there is more of a balance. PC is certainly a great alternative now, more so than ever before.

Also if you have the know-how about building gaming rigs, you will find out that it isn't all that expensive... and no, if you build it right you don't have to "buy a new computer every year" ...at wors you will have to upgrade a part or two. Example: my bro's comp is 3-4 years old now and it can still run the newest stuff very well. FYI: the key do building a great rig is not in blowing money on all those flashy numbers and names, it is in picking components that work well as a whole system. Something most rady-made system in BestBuy/Walmart lack (too bad)
