I have an Origin account. I start up the client occasionally to add the free games EA gives away to my library. Wouldn't even have it installed otherwise since I don't intend to play anything else I've paid for there.
I used to play BF3 fairly often months ago after it was given away. I would probably play ME3 multiplayer still from time to time, but I could not transfer my profile from console once I switched to PC, and I am not willing to start over completely, so I don't play it. (had maxed manifest on the 360)
Watch Dogs which I purchased from G2A for dirt cheap a while back is still on my account and has been for a few months... game is garbage though, so I'm not going to get upset in the slightest if it's removed. I'll just buy their games at $5 on Steam from now on though, just to be safe.

I have no reason to move to 8.1. I moved back thanks to mouse issues caused by 8.1 early last year. Why should I switch when everything works on Windows 8 perfectly? The start button? lol, I use Classic Shell for that.

Installed security updates just last week. Hmm.
I remember when they released Windows 8.1, MS said that Windows 8 wouldn't be able to receive updates unless 8.1 was installed.
They might have changed that, don't know, but you might want to double check.
