Actually, I'm playing the crap outta Diablo III, DOA5 Ultimate, and GTA V right now on my XBOX 360.
And I'm starting back at GameStop next week, so please, don't assume you're insightful enough to know me, and make a fool outta yourself in the process.
I was thinking of buying a Wii U again this Fall, but the only thing that's bringing me back at the moment is Mario 3D World, which is based on the best Mario Bros. game ever made!
Stuff like Pikmin 3 does poorly in the US. 170,000 copies in the States since release? That's not helping Nintendo win many Wii U customers, that's for sure.
@SgtPepper44 GameSpot has gained credibility... look around at movie and music album reviews. How often does a new movie or album score a perfect 10 or 100%? It's incredibly rare, as it should be with games, given the breadth and sheer depth of the medium. There's more chance for error with a game.
Not only does the story lack in GTA, but the majority of the missions feel more like work than fun. That's my opinion obviously, and Carolyn's is just as valid.
The video game industry is due for a turnover with reviewers. Video games are still too often scored by extreme fanboys of the medium, those that will love just about any major title that's released, rather than taking a deeper look into all criteria.
Carolyn deserves a lot of praise for condemning the misogonystic nature of GTA. It's about time someone did.
