Yes I am a Gamer and have been since the very first Black and White ping pong days. So yes I am old, but I have owned Commodore 64, PS1, PS2, Atari, Xbox 360, Xbox 1 and a Gaming PC. When it came to deciding XB1 or PS4 I was torn but was faithful to my XB history and tag, plus the titles offered as Exclusive, but if they continue to try and turn my gaming console into a multifunctioning PC hybrid then IMAO I would have made the wrong choice.
The gaming PC I gave up because so many times the games needed this update file or that DLL. file etc etc so I turned to consoles for my gaming fun, maybe a lazy way as they are in many cases plug un play, while my PC became my machine to do work and documents on.
While I am not adverse to new features on my XB1 and I do like the use of such things like Twitch (again gamer focused) I prefer to keep my gaming or lets say entertainment separate from things like work (Excel, Word etc) and my concern is that Microsoft are trying to turn my GAMING console into yet another machine that needs to be constantly updated to manage all the other non gaming related stuff, taking away what time I have focused on gaming.
Anyway, I would like to thank all the other people who felt the need to bitch at me and accuse me of being a troll simply because my Gaming focused opinion did not meet with yours. As I understand this is a comments section to voice ones likes or dislikes regarding the topic. NOT to disrespect people. !!!!
Having played many of the FPS games released over the last 5 years I would like too say that the review score is very harsh.
Having completed the campaign I have to say that yes it has a few poor quality issues but overall a good story that does try to have the gamer consider the other side of a elite soldiers life and how it impacts more than bang bang dead.
All the people making comments or statements regarding how the game channels you or restricts you. What FPS shooter have you played that allows you to run around and do what you want when you want. (Sandbox style) ALL games will eventually corridor you and take to the scripted ending..The one real negative comment is that I found it very hide to spot the enemy when being pinned down yes you know the general direction but it takes a few too many peek& leans to actually pin point the dude you need to whack.
In summary, not the best FPS I have played but then again most defiantly not the worst, action keeps coming, graphics and sound are awesome (Esp 52" HD TV and 7.1 Surround Sound system)
I do thank that maybe this game has been given bad reviews because we have been flooded with so many FPS and TBH how can developers continually make them so much better while maintaining the whole FPS military shooter game play..
