Yeah, depends on the game. I tend to use the D-Pad on turn-based games (Like Disgaea 2: Dark Hero Days or Blazing Souls: Accelate) and analog in games with a 3-D approach to it (Monster Hunter Freedom Unite or God Eater Burst).
I'm the on-the-go kind of person, so I can't really stay at home to play any consoles that is going to be stuck at home. So I prefer something handheld, like the psp. The drawbacks that it had (The 1.8 GB threshold of the UMD, loading times, which can't really be fixed) is a let down, but since vita is basically a super-enhanced psp, I'd definitely buy it.
