Single player, off course. I'm not much of an RTS gamer and I think WiC is going to get too hectic for me. Fun stuff, but I need to be able to slow things down. Anyone know of a tweak or mod that allows you to issue orders when the game is paused?

Not a chance.

I don't like RTS games for the most part, but Company of Heroes and World in Conflict are awesome. The Total War games look appealing too.

BTW, anyone heard if a Company of Heroes sequel is in development?

Unfortunately, the ones that aren't doing very well:

"Hardcore" PC RPGs - the best year in this genre we've had in a while...with 2 noteable releases! (one is, admittedly, an expansion)

Turn-based tactical - Haven't seen a worthwhile release since...er...2004?

I do enjoy other genres, but those were what really got me into PC gaming, and it sucks that they are dying/dead. Sadly, my 3rd favorite, the sci-fi sim sub-genre (space, mech etc.) are equally dead.
