I think I'd pick the younger guy. You can give him a good "first start" and he would be more willing to listen, rather than a guy who already is set in how he does stuff.
I don't want to reveal too much, but I work at a local flight school as the computer technician. Fixing the computers in the offices and whatever problems the simulator may encounter (which is many)
Working with some fun people and there is always something to do. Pay is alright as well.
