I'm asking because I had to return a PS3. They received it almost a week ago but I haven't heard from them. Should I try and contact them and see if there's a problem or just be patient?

It's doing my head in because it sounds so familiar but I can't put my finger on exaxtly where it's from.

Thought I'd give it a chance even though there are only two games out for it right now that I want to play. It arrived today and the controller is faulty. Great.

When I play a game with vsync I get this strange stuttering effect on the screen. It's hard to explain, but it looks as if frames are being missed or skipped, so if I'm moving a character on screen it can look like he's teleporting forward slowly when moving instead of it being a smooth movement. I can't just disable vsync because I get a lot of crashes if I do. My card is an 8800 GTX if that helps. Does anyone have any idea what this problem is?

Just bought these parts to put together my first PC gaming rig ever. I'm sure this isn't perfect as it's my first time, but I don't mind learning from it. Tell me what you think:

  • XFX nForce650i Motherboard
  • EVGA 8800GTX 768MB ACS3
  • 2GB Corsair DDR2 800 MHz
  • 250GB hard drive
  • Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600

I've made a video of my problem along with a description and put it onto youtube, so rather than explain my problem again here's the link to the video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7B4YUHPFnkM

I've tried something called splitcam, but I need to be able to select a region of my desktop, not the whole thing.
