Sounds a lot like the early stages of steam box.... like why get that and not just build a PC? I dont get these companies.

@masscrack: nooooooooooe I don’t like that idea. Look how held back games were at the beginning of the generation to have them run on the 360 and ps3. Would be the exact same thing.

@gamer162594: the console ecosystem is radically different than the PC ecosystem. There will always be parody at play. All I have to say is that the next consoles HAS to have the gpu and cpu separate, and that the power has to match or be higher than the performance of a 1080ti or there is no point. The cpu is always the weakest link, and the gpu performance (even though it’s the best part of the consoles) is also always woefully underpowered. The next step after the XoX and pro need to be exceptional or the new generation of consoles are dead in the water.
