@Senor_Kami: I'd like to see you get 800,000 account holders to sign a petition in less than 24 hours. Let me know how that goes. Guarantee you, right when the server shuts down on the 10th, within a couple days the numbers on the petition will skyrocket.

@saturatedbutter: The petition was made yesterday... the server is also not yet shut down. I'd like to see you get 115,000 people sign a petition in one day.

@Xirtahm: All Blizzard should do is require Nostalrius to make users pay a subscription to log in and turn over all proceeds to Blizzard. 1. You keep the server and everyone keeps their content. 2. The hard work is done, the server is made and running. 3. Extra income for Blizzard who are steadily losing subs day by day.

If they breached his contract and owe him money, he should probably be suing them instead of dealing with rumors.

@Spartan_418: Are you guessing you won't receive yours until June or did it tell you somewhere? Just wondering if I can find out when mine is expected.

@Khasym: I've actually never played any of Chris Robert's games. So I wouldn't call myself a fanboy. I didn't even know who he was until the Kickstarter gained traction. However, while like you stated he may have failed at the game Strike Commander, to me that is nothing compared to the crapstorm we've had to put up with with EA and all the gaming companies pushing unfinished games with $60 DLC to get a B- experience.

Based on all the history of Roberts and the content and updates they have delivered these past years for Star Citizen, that I have seen for myself on top of my excitement for the space game I've dreamed of being made. I feel no need to be worried that he won't deliver. I've been burned by a few Kickstarter gaming companies before, but none of them came even close to the amount of information Star Citizen puts out daily. I'll even agree with you on the point where the independent system doesn't work, however I believe CIG will be one of the only games that will make it work.

The object of the game isn't to be locked into rinse/repeat missions either so I don't see that happening. It's possible the storyline will be like that considering it's military based but the actual point of the game is to do basically anything that's why the genre is considered a space SIM. Based on what I've played in 2.1 so far, there's a rinse/repeat combat mission currently as a placeholder, but I've done it once, the rest of the hours I spent playing were just exploring and testing out ships and interacting.

I understand your criticism, but I just wish you'd give it a chance. I'm not asking you to be one of the guys who puts down $500+. Just put down a simple $45 for the cost of the game, sit back, relax, and wait for an awesome game to be made or wait till it comes out and buy it then.

@Khasym: Your first paragraph, no I wouldn't accept 2.1 as the finished game if they stopped development and called it finished.

Your second paragraph: You seem hell bent on it not working. Why? You really believe they cannot put it all together? Why is your outlook so negative?

Your third paragraph: None of them would kickstart because they are already backed companies with publishers and investors. CIG started from absolutely nothing but about 15 people. They had no buildings, no computers, no equipment, no employees, no budget. In the 4 years they've been developing the game they also acquired ALL of the things I listed. Yet everyone seems to put that off to the side and not realize how much time that takes to do. They now have 4+ locations and over 200 employees and all the equipment they need. Now the focus is development which is coming along much faster than before because they actually have people to do the work.

But let me go back to your point: IF any of those companies did this, it wouldn't be even close to successful. They all have terrible reputations ruined by publishers rushing content. Chris Roberts's reputation is still untarnished from the games he made. So what if he's taken a longer amount of time to finish the product? Until he drags his entire fanbase through the dirt he's doing a better job than any gaming company out there currently.

Could Chris Roberts be duping all of us with $100 million and living in Mexico? Probably.

Is that really the case? Probably not considering the content that's been pushed out.

@Khasym: Would I accept CIG stopping all development? If that was the game they said they would deliver to us then we'd accept that. However that's not what they said they would develop in the least bit.

I gave them money because they said they would develop the best damn space sim possible. I don't mind waiting for it to be made if it takes a couple extra years. The fact they let us play with what they develop as they get it through the pipeline is just an added bonus.

You're free to criticize Star Citizen as much as you want, but it doesn't hold anything to the fact it's not even done being made yet. If CIG came out and said "hey guys the game is finished, enjoy" and you then decided to go criticize the game for all its flaws, then we'd probably care to listen more.

@Darkwalker75: Wasn't referring to ships, was referring to the pledges in general. Once it's over, you cannot get those pledges again.
