There actually isn't any reason to purchase a multiplat game on the Wii if you have the option for getting it on the PS3 or 360 because everyone knows the Wii is actually garbage. Plus World at War was designed to be played with dual analog sticks/KB and Mouse; that point and click with your "Wii Gun" crap is just a gimmick.

I do 90% of my multiplayer gaming locally, so when its not there, its usually a reason to not buy the game. 110million

So you must be scared to play your games online then.

[QUOTE="black_tempest"][QUOTE="Couth_"]It's not NEEDED, but it sure adds something to the game. Online takes priority over split screen these days though, for good reasonCouth_
This for the first part, but I enjoy actually being in the room with someone way more than playing online, and I hate how many games were all getting rid of splitscreen, although it seems to be coming back (along with bots)

While some people would agree, online is becoming more mainstream so it's what developers are focusing on

Online should be the main focus anyways as opposed to split screen because that is the trend gaming is taking. Online communities and groups of gamers. It is so much better to play a shooter game without splitting the screen anyways than it is to have four little boxes and everyone is looking at everyone elses screen. It was cool back in the N64 days because it was novel and we didn't have bad ass internet like we do now. I think people are just nostalgic because Golden Eye actually isn't that good of a game...oh and CHRONO TRIGGER IS OVER RATED (had to throw that in there).

I like playing with my friends just as much as the next guy. Sure having a few buddies over and everyone playing halo is a lot of fun or whatever, but I am very hard pressed to understand why some people WILL NOT buy a game simply because it has no split screen...I mean really are you that lonely that you HAVE to have a friend playing with you so you can enjoy your game? I read in some post in here that Killzone 2 wouldn't have any co op or split screen and all these people were like "oooo well I guess I'm not gonna get the game now!" Give me a break and learn to play alone or suck it up and get online and play. I actually feel that adding the co op/ split screen element really takes away from development time that could have went in to making a much better GAME.

I am sorry to say this but all of you Wii lovers are in total denial of what quality in a videogame is. I broke my ankle earlier this year and my friend was kind enough to let me borrow his Wii (lol) since my xbox 360 was in another town. Needless to say I was very excited to finally get my hands on this new and supposedly "innnovative" console...

I had a great time with wii sports. I had fun when my friends would come visit and we would ALL play together. I rented Galaxy and MP3 and got to play Marvel Ulitmate Alliance and Tony Hawk. But after about a week the appeal of this system completely wore off. I beat Galaxy in about 2 days and never had the desire to play it again, it was well; BORING. MP3 is a disgrace to the Metroid brand and quite honestly its not very deep and the controls are horrid. Do not hype that game.

All I am saying is that the Wii has potential to be something great, but at the end of the day It's library is UTTER GARBAGE.

What's really sad is I know I am not alone on this when I say that as a TRUE diehard UT fan I found that I was forcing myself to enjoy UT3 when deep down I knew it wasn't anything like I expected it to be. Granted I played it on the PS3, which was amazing for the fact that I could play it on a console good job Epic, but the game still felt unpolished. After reading all this about the PC version I know that I don't even need to play it on PC because my experience wont even improve that much. Where is the double jumping? Why is the shock rifle so slow? Was the lightning gun really so annoying that they had to remove it from the game? Bottom line 2k4 is SUPERIOR on all fronts except graphics, and that is sickening when you really think about it. For all the flash and pretty bells UT3 was put on the back burner because of Gears of War and UT fans have to suffer a mediocre game as a result.

What the hell. Here I was thinking that I was playing games....all this time they were figments of my imagination, since all the games are destroyed.

Oh, and sarcasm aside, if you think all there are are shooters this generation, you are just not looking hard enough, choosing instead to be lead on by popular hype and myth than reality.

i just started playing LO and I have to admit it is quite nice to return to the tradtional style rpg's of a time many of you will not remember. However the awards for most underrated RPG would have to go to XENOGEARS first and foremost, VAGRANT STORY, and the original WILD ARMS. I would have included FF:Tactics on PSone but they remade it on PSP and gave it the respect it deserves. Most overrated RPG of all time? FFX and Chrono Trigger. Ya I said Chrono Trigger.

You could have easily made this game without the Wii-Mote. Wrestling moves and finishes could have been mapped onto a D-Pad or using button press combos for the same effect. Seriously besides the style and "story" (I am assuming most people who enjoy this tripe of a tale are aged 13-16) you press A,A,A,A,A pt wiimote left or rt do a finish, get a powerup, and kill everyone. Find some random extra trash that has no value other than looking at back at the hotel, kill boss, do meaningless side missions to raise LB, and rinse repeat. I guess my main problem is, why didn't this game make MORE use of the wiimote? Why can't i slash my sword and kill people? Why so much emphasis on the A button, and unlike god of war (which actually had different combos and button presses) the game falls flat on substance (Santa Destroy is totally desolate of anything of value). I dare someone to prove me wrong.

to all those people saying 5-10 years that games will not improve anymore graphically...you deserve to be shot in the throat. You do realise that in FIVE to TEN years we will only be one more gen ahead of this one. You really think photo-realistic graphics are that close? Hell, FF:Spirits Within didn't even look totally real but it was quite awesome looking indeed. Games are no where near their graphical potential. At least another 15-25 years before we even break the surface of photorealism.
