Haha, what an idiot

There isn't a single challenging boss fight in the game, just summon for help

For the record I finished the game twice before I bought the guide (Collectors Edition reduced to £10, bargain =D ), so stop acting like it makes you a better person that you don't own one, this isn't CoD

Firstly, wash your mouth out

Secondly, you are wrong, lets delve into why..

Estus Drinking Animation, yes, you are right, its slow and takes a while to get used to the slower healing it gives. The solution? Adaptability or, oh I don't know, MOVING FARTHER AWAY?!

Boss Designs, yes they are crappy in this game, with the exception of Demon of Song and Duke's Dear Freja. I have the guide for this game and quickly scanning through it I only found about 4 bosses that aren't humanoid (the two I just mentioned, Coveteous Demon and The Rotten being all I can think off, Belfry Gargoyles don't count as they were in the first game, neither does Najka, the dragons or the Rat Bosses)

But the fights with them were still exciting, testing your skill or, I don't know, PRESENTING A CHALLENGE?!

As for the 'dwindling supply of resources', The Hag in Majula sells unlimited Lifegems and 12 Estus is more than enough, plus there is like literally 20 items that replenish health that you'll naturally collect on your journey (Dragon Charms helped when practicing against AD)

If there's one thing the Soul's series is known for, its the punishment upon failure, it isn't cheap, its knocking you on your ass so that next time, you'll be ready for it

Quit bitching and get back on the horse, or give up and trade in your copy so someone else can use it

Yeah, the first thing I noticed was how much more difficult Parrying was in DS2, Plus the 'stun' as appose to the 'Riposte' window just annoys me and it has a habit or knocking them back so my first attack misses anyway

That's another thing that annoys me: repairable sacrificial rings. Another way of nerfing the difficulty for those complaining that the older games were "too hard." I'm forced to use them in this game though because of the limited effigies.

Couldn't agree more man, I feel so cheap using the three rings (two RROS and one Petri Ring) but it is ultimately the best tactic, deaths cost you 3000-6000 souls, effigies are no longer a scare resource, it takes the risk out, the only irritation is when all 3 break and I have to port back to Mangina to repair them

As far as the enemy despawns go, I think they could have tweaked it a little more, hollows and 'humans' should respawn, but monsters, creatures and animals shouldn't, like they ressurected at a bonfire and walked back, like you did.

The worst part for me was either the Ancient Dragon run, Salt Steps Bonfire , Straids Cell or the lower bonfire in Tseldora, (seriously, enemy spawns on bonfire's is a little annoying

Most of the times, if you need to kill an enemy more than 12 times, you either NEED the help of them despawning, or you are farming for souls and cheating yourself out of the experience

Yeah, it bugs me too man, I regularly switch between both games and i've really started to notice how you almost have to give it a second before you can switch gear, so annoying

I tried for days to co-op this boss but ultimately killed him solo

Its so much easier to do it alone, I was a melee char, bastard sword, I stayed at his hind legs rolling back and forth away from his stomps, then flinging knives at his shins when he sat up to breathe fire under himself, the only risk was the flying attack, but he didn't seem to do it during this fight

Seriously, go it alone

I've just rolled a spellcaster after finishing the game pure strength build (Seriously, Bastard Sword is OP, need better late game Great Swords)

Tbh, they are useless until around level 50 when you get the Sunlight Staff and Hexers Hood, Soul Spear takes around 3 shots to kill some enemies, thats 10 enemies between bonfire, added to scarce drops of wilted herbs and other consumables that make boss fights very tense when you reach them with only 10 casts left and one herb.

I've just picked up the spells from (Insert No-Man's Wharf guy's name here) and tbh they don't jump up in damage as much as i'd hoped. Tbh, I think you've just found your arrow to the knee, try making them come to you, hide round a corner and melee the crap out of them when they stupidly get close

That sounds awful, every word. 2v2 is good enough from DS1, Dark Souls does NOT need a Capture the Flag mode

Just a note, you don't have to be human to be summoned, I can use my Soapstone when hollow (unrelated to Covenants but still)
