I didn't buy Bioshock until the price dropped to $20... so I'm probably going to do the same with the sequel. Although depending on how good the game actually is when it is finally released, I may just be tempted to rent/borrow it before I actually purchase it later on.

I played MapleStory for like 2 years... Why oh why did I waste my time with that?siLVURcross

Haha yeah I remember the day I quit. As I was uninstalling the game, I thought to myself "it's been about 4 years of this game... wtf do I have to show for all that time I spent on this game?" I can't lie thought I did have fun at times meeting people on that game (which are now great online friends that I play other games with on PSN and Xbox Live) but still there's so much more I could have been doing with that time... like going out with friends IRL and stuff. However, I did learn from that whole experience. Now I only play video games in my free time when there's absolutely nothing else for me to do. I spend a lot more time going out and doing more productive things with my life .

I finally kicked that 4 year long addiction called Maplestory... From the beta up until about 2 months ago I used to play that game for hours a day. Thankfully, I never fell into the whole NX thing so at MOST I only spend $20 on NX. Wonderking on the other hand I played for like a day and then deleted it the next. Maplestory out-shined it in every way possible imo.

It's a love it or hate it type of game. It's definitely not for everyone though. It's one of those games where to truly enjoy it, you have to be good and to be good, you have invest a lot of time into it. The learning curve tends to turn most people off and the fact that it doesn't appeal to everyone leads to the games often getting lower scores then the fans believe they deserve. Put it this way, I think of Demon's Souls as an easy version of the MH games with some online aspects.

My personal list would be:

1. MGS
2. Shenmue II
3. Zelda: OoT
4. Breathe of Fire II
5. GTA: Vice City.

[QUOTE="Vandalvideo"][QUOTE="farnham"] in majoras mask you play as young linkfarnham
Yes you do, but there is some dark crap goin down in Linkdom.

what..? a ugly ass moon comming down to earth..? thats teh mature indeed

Here's a perfect example of someone who didn't play a game yet they talk **** about it. Denying that Majora's Mask didn't have some mature subjects that could appeal to an audience of all ages is just plain wrong. If you honestly played through MM and didn't find a single moment that had a mature feeling, than I honestly don't know what to say to you.

As for OP's post, I have yet to play Darksiders, but after buying a Wii at launch primarily for Zelda: Twilight Princess , I can say that Darksiders must be one hell of a game to compete with TP. Even if Zelda: TP wasn't the best game in the series, it was still a great game imo. Then again, Darksiders didn't even exist on my radar until recently where I have been hearing/reading a lot about it. At first I thought it was just another randomly over-hyped game on these forums, but I might have to try it out.

I personally feel that Call of Juarez: Bound in Blood deserved to be a AAA. There was absolutely nothing I disliked about the game... but then again that's just me :P. Also, even though a lot of people are going to disagree with me and flame me for this... but I always thought Silent Hill: Homecoming got more hate than it deserved. I personally liked the game and while it was nothing compared to Silent Hill 2 (one of my favorite games of all time), I still found it to be enjoyable.

You're not alone, trust me. I know a lot of people who picked up 360's wen they first came out and now they want GOW III but don't want a PS3. I'm probably in more of a minority than you are... I have a PS3 but don't want God of War III :P.

I can't wait to get my hands on Silent Hill: Shattered Memories. First I need to beat AC2 and then Demon's Souls so I should get SH in late January. From what I have seen though, it is easily one of the best Wii games so far (though I don't know if it can pass NMH as my favorite Wii title). Also, it seems like I'm the only person in this thread that played SMG from beginning to end and didn't like it :(.

It will be on the PSN, every major PSP game is now.

[QUOTE="Silent-Hal"]I was really disappointed with the Peace Walker demo. It felt like Kojima was trying to make a game too complicated for the PSP hardware to handle. It was just... really awkward to play. Floppy_Jim

I found it far better than Portable Ops- that had terrible, terrible controls. Bad enough to stop me playing it.

Being a huge MGS fanboy, I have to say MGS: PO has some awkward controls... but the story kept me hooked from beginning to end. Not to mention the fun I had with the multiplayer (online and locally with some friends ). I haven't played the demo for Peace Walker yet though. I have it downloaded and ready on my PS3 but my PSP is with my little brother so I'm going to have to wait until either later tonight or tomorrow to play it. Also, I was unaware that they had changed the controls... they should have kept the old ones since people had already gotten used to those clunky controls :(
