Trophies are what extend the life of a game imo. If it's a game I really love, like say Killzone 2, it becomes a little side game in trying to get all the trophies. It's a badge of honor to get a trophy that was really really hard to get. It's an embarrassment to have a trophy for a game that you otherwise wouldn't have played except for the easy trophies...imo. So yeah, I love 'em. To me it's just the evolution of the old high score at the arcade. I only wish Sony would display your level below your PSN ID.

Hey guys,

The speakers on my tv are really really bad. I don't want to go through the hassle of installing a surround sound system so I'm opting for a shelf system. Just wondering if anyone has any reccomendations as to which system I should get or what's working well for them. It's just me in a one bedroom apartment and I'm leaning towards either a 380 watt system or a 510 watt system but I'm not sure if 510 will be overkill or if 380 won't be enough. Any help is much appreciated.

Does anyone know if you can bring up the xmb menu by using the keyboard? I'm playing a game and I'll get a message and I'm just wondering what key I have to press to bring up the xmb.

It's gotta be Gears 3. 2009 was a relatively quiet year for MS. 2010 they have to have Gears 3 and more at the ready if they want to even stay in the conversation with what the PS3 is releasing.

I don't get all the hate on this game. It looks great to me. It's no Killzone 2, it's no Uncharted 2, and it's not Gears 2, but Modern Warfare 2 looks darn good.

I asked her why and she said she played it at a friends house and fell in love with it. Plus she's going to buy the balance board and wii fit. What she doesnt know is that I already have one collecting dust in my room. So to save money, i'm just going to repackage mine and give it to her for christmas. good plan, yes?

hey its a recession 8)

My mom wants one too. She saw Wiifit on Operah or The Today Show or one of those shows. Anyway, I guess I'm buying a Wii. Never thought I'd be saying that.

I suppose. Maybe I've just outgrown Nintendo, but I only have so much time and money. I'd rather use that finite time and money on a game like God of War III, Mass Effect 2, GT5, Halo Reach, FFXIII, Heavy Rain, etc etc. And Wii owners miss out not only on the great exclusives (obviously, but they also miss out on the great 3rd party games. I could never be a Wii only owner. Nintendo releases like 2 gems a year. Other than that you're just out there in the desert of gaming. Also I thought the Gamecube controller was worse than the N64 controller. Not sure I ever want to use that again.

Oh yea, I also forgot about www.craigslist.com, it is typically better than ebay but some people are pretty strange on thereso buyer beware.

Reemer99
I would say avoid Craigslist like the plague. No method to review sellers as far as I know so you're pretty much taking a major chance every time.

These might have already been mentioned, but....

1. Amazon.

2. Ebay.

3. Gamestop.

4. newegg.

5. Blockbuster.

6. Ebay.

7. Buy.com

8. Ebay.

I think that's a pretty good list, don't youuuuuuuuuuuu

ChAlDo205
This guy nailed it. Ebay is the best because you can really luck out on there. Just make sure to read that seller's reviews prior to purchasing. Amazon p'd me off once because they took forever to ship my game when I thought I'd have it on day one. Gamestop is at the bottom to me along with most other brick and mortar places just because you pay the full price plus tax (not cheap in NYC). Anyway, can't recommend Ebay enough.
