As a film-maker and a film fan(with video games being artificially similar), I can understand what he's talking about. On one hand I am annoyed by trailers that are so tonally different from what the actual product is, it's almost a crime. However, in this world of mass media saturation, it's kind of hard to promote anything without giving away the best parts. It's a fine line, but I'm kind of glad someone actually speaks about how hard it is to walk this line.
Once again, lazy parenting. Why actually explain to your kids what is right and what is wrong... when you can just cover their eyes so they'll never have to experience anything of what the real world is like. When your kids know whats right and wrong in their hearts and minds, then and only then you won't have to worry about them.
I literally jacked off to just the headline of this page. Sorry Jane, your cute but GTA V coming out this year is the sexiest god-damn thing i've ever seen.
Brendan, please don't put Nicholas Cage and Stanley Kubrick in the same sentence(as a screenwriter, Film director, and Film Buff; respectfully, I can't let that stand unchallenged). Other than that I completely agree with your article! Well said!
