Keep trying to use smaa and sweetfx through radeonpro for tomb raider, but it never applies any settings. I've tried to apply mlaa since i can visual see if it works with the fraps program, but still doesn't work. Then i try and apply mlaa in tomb raider through ccc and it works fine. Is there something i'm missing to get radeopro working? Also doesn't work in other games either. I have the latest version and amd catalyst 13.11

If i try and force super sampling and vsync through CCC its doesn't seem to work.  Tried doing 8x supersampling (antialaising mode override) and checked "wait for vertical refresh".  Nothing seems to work in this game except mlaa, which i can tell gets applied and helps somewhat.  Supersampling worked for me in the mass effect games, but here it just doesn't want to work for me

Basically the topic, whenever i put vsync on it locks to 30fps which feels very laggy to me.  Tried radeon pro and also locked it at 60 with msi afterburner, but get screen tearing still as a result and radeon pro doesn't seem to work for me.

Also was wondering about if any aa would work?  I know i can use mlaa, but was wondering about an other options like smaa or even supersampling.

Have an AMD radeon hd 7970.

Throttles in any of those torture tests.  I use to use msi afterburner, but it was giving me false readings for core and memory clocks. Right now i'm using Trixx program to overclock and it reads the correct settings, but either one doesn't have anything related to powertune or board power limit or anything.  The only thing both of them have is voltage control for core, and clock speeds for core and memory.

Been trying to overclock this card but not getting the results that other people are getting.  So far i have 1050/1500 with stock voltage stable with occt.

I kept seeing something called powetune to 20% on forums.  My card has no such option, which i suppose doesn't matter since it doesn't throttle in the games anyhow.  When i run occt though it will throttle anywhere between 900 and 1050 with the overclock i have which seems to be specific to that program.

Playing crysis 3 and it seems that overclocking the core gives you more peformance than overclocking the memory, which is the total opposite from my old 5970.

Also not sure if it matters but i'm using the 2 4 pin molex cables to 8 pin for the second slot since i only have one 6+2 pin cable and the other is just a 6 pin

I think i might order one of those connectors.

It does come with a connection that has an 8 pin male to 2 peripheral, would that work fine for an adapter?

Got this since is seems like a good deal at 300ish with 4 free games that i don't have.  Also some review shows that it stays very cool and overclocks incredibly well.  Had 5970 before this and couldn't deal with the vram limitations, heat, power and microstuttering.

Just got the card and reviews were showing it having a 8 pin and 6 pin connector, but the one i got had 2 8 pin connectors.

My power supply only has one 8 pin and one 6 pin to spare.  Why is this one different from what the review showed?

Specs are:

Phenom 1100t @ 4Ghz

Radeon HD 5970

8Gb ddr3

After i play this game for a while it will slow down to around 30 to 40 frames per second, so i exit the game and went back into it and the same part got me 60 fps.  I used to use a custom config, but felt that cause more issues than it solved.  Also everytime i minimize this game i have to turn the vsync back on.

Is there any solution to these problems.
