I was having the same problem and it was fixed by switching my theme. try that. I know it sounds crazy but thats honestly what worked for me.
Has to be Oblivion. It is such an amazingly wide open game, that I had no idea even where to begin. I quit on it immediatly but gave it another shot one day and then put 75 hours into it.
