While this is one of the most reasonable things I've heard the government try to do with video games, I think it is pointless. Growing up I just got my parents to buy my higher rated games. Now I usually get asked for my id.
In regards to Mass Effect's ending, it sucked and it never should of happened. But my main problem is that I was lied to. You don't promise something and give something else... then call it art.
As for Doom 3's flashlight, if they think it can improve the game and make it more enjoyable, let them. They should try to improve their work. But this is all my opinion, everyone has their own.
I'm excited for this game. And I don't see why some people are upset with the article. I am always interested in possible leaks and rumors, and I am aware they may likely be false.
Anyway, I hope the release date will be announced soon.
