I'm pretty certain Ki'd be pissed if I bought her an apple for Christmas! Anyway, say what you like, but I love the iPads and find them to be the best tablet for users like her. It does everything she needs quickly and easily without much interaction. Reminds me of the console-pc thing in a way.

Apple - same as consoles - No fuss, plug and play, shit just works but pretty restricted

Surface - same as PC - Customisable and very open with OS as, essentially, it's just a laptop (not hardware updatable though :(). Not as simple/plug n play as a console/iPad but the functionality is there and experience better if you're willing to put in a tiny bit of work.

Android - Somewhere between the two. Closer to an iPad than a Surface Pro. Extremely customisable but decent ease of use as well.

I can appreciate you liking her voice but that vid is terrible! Lol. Very 80s and, I'm sure, popular at the time. It's so often the case that people who can sing well can't act. Lucky she's a stunner and can get away with it :)

****! I bought my wife an iPad Air yesterday for Christmas (on-line, engraved). Seems I got signed up for their newsletter as part of my purchase. That's ok as it's easy to unsubscribe. What's annoying is that the first email I get from them is that Friday the 29th of November is "Apple Shop Day"... first of all are they really trying to make a day called "Apple Shop Day"?! Seems a bit sad really. Secondly... ****! I just bought the damn iPad Air yesterday, it's shipped already and now it's $75 off.

Steam Sale - Yay but boo... I've got everything I want already :(

Me. However, after seeing them go for $600-$800 online I'm extremely tempted to just sell it straight away. Quite happy with my Xbox One and backlog for now and there's nothing in the launch day PS4 that I can't get in the Feb release.

I think the Drivatar cars are randomly selected based on your choices, so that's not actually a car from your garage. Maybe that's why you were unfamiliar with the power of the front brakes :)

Mystic rammed me going into a corner damaging my car past usefulness. SAo I rewound. Then I snuck to the side... then, on the replay, I nabbed this screenshot! They are some powerful brakes you have there Mystic!

I think we should do away with daylight savings but keep the end where we have darker mornings and lighter evenings!

Lyndhurst is ages from the city, about a 45 minute drive. Far enough that, if IO go into the city for a night, I often choose to stay at a friends nearby rather than try to taxi it home

1) How much do you tend to identify with your avatar?

Not much. No matter what it's just a character in a game and I'll turn it off and go do something else after I'm bored.

2) How does this change depending on: 1st person vs. 3rd person? Main vs. Alt?

It doesn't really. If I can design my own character I usually do it based on what I like the look of (some games have better looking female characters, some have better looking male).

I then play that character as "them" not me. So, for example, if I felt like playing a dodgy character in Skyrim they'd thieve and murder and so on.

Your own gender vs. opposite gender?

If there's a sexual connotation in game I usually make myself heterosexual male.

Human vs. nonhuman character?

Same as above. It all depends how the charcter looks and sounds. In WOW for example my favourite character is a male orc.

Single player vs. MMO vs. Co-Op?

Normally this won't change things however in games like New Vegas or New Vegas 2 where you can use a photograph of yourself to put you "in" the game... well I start to identify then obviously :)

First playthrough vs. subsequent playthroughs?

No difference although I often change gender and avatar "persona" to see if characters react differently to me. In Fallout 3 for example my first run was a "good karma" male but my second was an evil female.

Actually I'm heading to Queensland for the weekend in a couple of weeks. Gonna catch up with him. Kinda nervous. We're online buddies who I think will be good "in person" buddies but... you never know!

First dates are always so nerve wracking. At least I know it will mostly involve drinking beer and playing BF/FP :)
