Well since I am using that HDMI cable for DirectTV HD box I really can't use that one now can I. It is my parents HDTV not mine. I am in myfreshmen year of college with no job trying to look for oneyou think I can afford my own HDTV. Anyway I went online to find prices on HDMI cables and Best Buy was screwing me over so bad it isn't even funny.

True I should have done more research but that does not exclude the fact that the 360 comes witha component AV cable and the PS3 does not. I was not pissed at the HDMI thing if you would have read my originalpost I was pissed at not having the Component AV cable.

Thanks guys Iwas just mad because not only doesBlue-Ray do this so do the HD Drives they don't sell you an HDMI cable with the system. Basically what they are saying is you bought this expensive system for really good picture quality but you have to buy this extra product to be able to get that great picture quality. I think that is ****

I bought the PS3 for the Blue-Ray because it was cheap I know that. The fact is the 360 comes with aCompenant AV cable the PS3 does not. Maybe Best Buy was screwing me over with those prices I will check the internet to see if they cost less. Thanks for the information.

Now I own aPS2, X-box, X-box-360, game cubeand I love them all. So when I got enough money to buy a PS3 I did. I just bought it today. I bought the 60g version. Now when I opened it up I was expecting an HDMI cable to be able to see 1080p resolution on my LCD TV. But when I opened it I found that there was no HDMI cable. I go okay it is sold separately I can deal with that. I think they must at least have a component AV cable but no they don't even have that. What I got was a regular AV cable with resolution only to 480i.

Now I am pissed. Why you may ask because the 360 I got was 399.99 plus tax and came with the Component AV cable. The PS3 I bought was 499.99 plus tax.Another reason is because I go to Best Buy to get a PS3 HDMI cable and I find out the normal price for that is $89.99 for a four foot cable. I looked to see if other HDMI cables cost less then the PS3 HDMI. What I find is that the PS3 HDMI cost less then the others since it was shorter. That got my respect back.I am still glad I bought a PS3 because I will have enough money to buy the PS3 HDMI cable once this week is over and Blue-Ray picture quality even at 480i looks pretty damn good.
