@TomMcShea Having read some posts I see where you are coming from as well as others. This truly is a trick situation, a lose-lose for all involved it would seem. I certainly am not one to provide any good, clear commentary on all this however. Perhaps my problem here is that with the lack of information as to what Bioware is actually planning, it feels like articles such as these help fuel fire between customers, developers and the press without providing an objective view of all involved. And then again, like @Decessus had stated, GameSpot and others certainly have the right to state their opinions.

@Decessus I suppose I am. Truth be told I tend to hope for the best in people, or seeing people with titles doing what their title suggests. Little "journalism" is visible in this whole situation while sensationalism is running rampant. But again I should have expected that considering that it makes for...interesting advertisement. As you mentioned in a previous comment, plenty of people have clearly, and in a well thought out manner stated what exactly was so unsatisfying about the ending ME3. Happy endings are indeed what people are NOT asking for. Just closure and real choice. I guess this all wouldn't bother me so much, had this particular game not been as highly praised as it currently is. Other games that have pulled similar mistakes, be it story related or game-play get destroyed for it, but not here. Because it's art.

Hmm, this whole mess has shown me a very unappealing side of just about everyone involved. Fans and customers, developers, and the gaming journalists. Each has a perspective with merits of their own but almost all of them fail to try to see it from each other's perspective. Everyone thinks they are right and someone else is wrong. This all seems like a knee-jerk reaction from all of the parties involved and it makes me sad to be interested in this industry. There is a certain sense of entitlement from certain gamers (though the concept itself isn't all bad as one might think), as well as a lack of proper articulation for when things are actually wrong. But there is also a seemingly "self-righteous" attitude the gaming media has, using what boils down to "quit complaining and take what they give you" hidden under the whole "games are art" statement. This whole mess has shown me that I can't take this industry seriously just yet.

For the F-Zero suggestions, besides the track editor one they really don't make any real sense with the style of gameplay F-Zero demands. Not only that but it really does make me realize how the series isn't really in Nintendo's consideration for their current design choices. Hell even Miyamoto said the series wouldn't work well with the current Wii design, which would likely lead to the only proper controller for it being the Wii classic controller. Should they ever get around to making a new entry to the F-Zero series, it would be awesome if Nintendo would bundle the Classic Controller Pro with it.
