Contrary to popular belief, you can NOT enjoy Star Wars and NOT be an idiot, you know. I cannot believe the sheer amount of ignorance coming from some people on this board because the man doesn't enjoy a script/film, which you happen to enjoy. Why not just accept the fact that Star Wars is not the be-all-end-all of science fiction, or popular culture. People can be good at what they do (i.e. writing for Valve in their biggest franchise), and not enjoy the first of, or any succeeding, Star Wars films. I am a HUGE fan of video games, Half-Life and Valve, and find myself as such while still disliking a vast majority of Sci-Fi film, including Star Wars. It is extremely ignorant and juvenile to question the credibility of a man based on the fact that he doesn't enjoy the aforementioned film. Maybe try to accept the fact that people do have differing opinions than you, and that in having diverse opinions, they are still deserving of the same amount of decency or decorum that you would permit to anyone, Star Wars fan or otherwise.
