I would be okay with this if all three companies implemented it and it meant a drop in the cost of newly released games. No used option, drop to $40 release day and sales would be through the roof. The only people who really suffer in that situation is Gamestop and I would be more than happy to say good riddance.

That makes no sense. They develop the games on the development kits and PCs then make them ready for home use. There is no need to pre-load the stuff on the disc to preserve it like you're suggesting. It's not difficult at all for them to code it considering they have the source code at their disposal.
