You might want to wait and get Operation Flashpoint or ARMA II. It will make BC look like a elementary school yard in comparison to the enormous maps that OP FP and ARMA will offer. Bad Company is still my game of choice, but won't be once Op FP arrives.

The tank was replaced with space lobsters. You just have to know where to find it.

The reason games are cheaper on PC is that there are no licensing fees to pay to Sony or MS. That $10 difference in PC vs. console games is a fee payed to the the console designer. No one to pay in the PC industry. Also if you look at the cost vs. time entertained, you see you are more than getting your money worth. For example it's about $10 to see a movie. That is an hour and a half at the theater. A game will give you (hopefully) 10-20 hours of gaming enjoyment. That equated to $100-200 a game. If you don't like the movie example then look at any form of entertainment and tell me gaming is by one of the cheapest avenues to spend your money.

Perhaps you should take a note from history and see how people have protested in the past. I remember a little thing called the Boston Tea party, and it really seemed to do the trick. I guess you would be the guy shouting from the docks, "Don't throw away all that tea, the Brits aren't bad people just misinformed." If there was a ship to throw Spore from, I would.

Maybe you could share your insight on gaming protest for us. I mean obviously having a forum of debate and discussion is too much for you to handle. It boils down to one thing...invasion of your privacy and misinformation/lack of information on the part of EA. EA has been on the chopping block by gamers for years. I won't bore you with details as you already know I am sure. Maybe some people just are hopping on the bandwagon, but some people must have valid points for EA to fighting so many naysayers. If you want to talk about picking flowers and the joys of gaming, go start a thread. I promise not to hijack it. That is your right.

I get the feeling a facepalm would be insufficient for this post, you are comparing forum nerd rage to the Boston Tea party?

Your exaggeration of my position does not negate what I have said, I never argued against user protest; in fact I encouraged it when done properly. A bunch of butt hurt nerd raged hateboys attacking everyone and everything in sight to vent their anger isn't respectable on any level, trolling forums and other users because you are pissed off at a choice made my the publisher is not a valid form of protest.

We are still waiting for your input on what form of voicing your opinion you would choose. How do people complain about a digital product. Do we take it to EA for them not to answer us back? Do we debate this on the corner? Where would you like people to voice their anger? People feel like they need to be heard, they also want to know others feel the same. Whether this be debating the presidental election(you think gaming boards are bad go check out a political forum these day), or a debate on the business practices of a company, everyone is entited to their opinion, no matter how many time it has been said. Unless people are breaking the TOS agreement, then stay out of it. Don't like it, voice your disagreement and leave it. Your right, no one really cares what we are saying, and game companies even less. I think our buying dollar dictates a companies future. The majority of people have the same issue, so you are the minority here. Although we respect your point, don't think you will get far with your opinion on how to debate on Gamespot. Conversation over.

I'm afraid I am going to have to side with EA here. Complaining about EA's choice to use Securom is one thing; encouraging people to boycott Spore/EA products, to steal games, insulting people who did buy the game and overall turning every topic into an argument regarding Securom (seriously, I have had these **** derail several of my threads) is taking it too far.

There are people out there that just won't let you enjoy a game or chat on the forums, they have to bring Securom into everything and go on about how much of a pathetic corporate tool anyone who buys a Securom game are.

There are valid ways of showing your protest, not buying Securom games and stating that for instance, attacking other gamers on mass and spamming threads on it 'in the wrong section's' is not the right way.

I'm sick of it, I'm surprised it took EA this long.

I think its about time that we stop letting a vocal minority take over the board. Forum courtesy dictates you first try to find an old topic on the forum before posting a new one. Instead what we have is people spamming about DRM. We all already know about DRM! We choose to buy anyway because we either don't care or its not that big a deal. More topics about how DRM is so bad are just a harrassment to the board now.adrake4183

Why don'y you go ahead an organize all the 12 years olds and get them to do that. By the way do you work for EA? Because you do seem to be toting the company line awful hard. By the way if this all spamming, aren't you contributing to the spam as well?

hahahaha why are people so stubborn and just want to hate on the juggernaut of games right now? EA has not in anyway ruined any game. I love how the dude a few posts above me listed 5 or 6 great games but people will still trash on EA for absolutely no reason. The majority of the time they are mearly the publisher, they dont have anything really to do with actually creating the games.makchady

Are you serious. You must not spend much time reading posts. I could point you to about one hundred anti-ea threads. Juggernaut is an apt title. Just slog through their titles with little care for quality. Have they done some great games, sure. Are the most hated company, yes. Must be a reason. Maybe in those hundreds of posts you can find the answer.

[QUOTE="Cabal23"]This year was a weak showing for PC games. attorihanzo

The year is not over yet.

Yes but the games that are coming out have already been announced. Maybe NEXT year will be different, but this year is sealed in stone.
