Personally, i do feel it's a good FF story. It's just that the elements in FF are not there. Take for example, there are no chocobos... :lol:

People are actually complaining, not of the story, but of the lack of FF 'things' inside. I think the story's great, it has the FF 'thing' in the story. But, the other main elements are missing. The definition of 'world exploration' was not brought out successfully, although it was known that Dr. Aki did travel around the world to gather the "spirits".

But, most importantly, chocobos are missing!!! okay, not important. Even Dr. Cid is not Cid, it's "Sid" instead. You see, too many things are changed, too many things are missing. That's what doesn't make it too much of a Final Fantasy.

So what if things are changed, not like things should always stay the same. plus this is a movie not a game, its not like you can feel the exact same way you do when you play a game because in a game you can decide what you want to do but in a movie you cant u just watch it. i loved this movie because it was a great movie even if it didnt look exactly like every final fantasy game. and some of my friends liked it and they dont even know what FF is

Its a good film but their are holes in the plot, i mean what would sephy of achieved if he killed cloud because meteor was gone and jenova is gone since kadaj used up the last bit of her, really he was just shoved in to keep fans happy by making a sequal, really the whole plot is about bringing sephy back but what would he have done if he had survived ?

He would have killed everyone? :-p but AC was great. i loved it and you shouldnt be totally hard on square because they arent a movie company they make awesome games. but it would be nice if they started making more movies like this.
