AAA games are so expensive because the developers insist on adding overblown set pieces to their games and because of the exorbitant advertising. If they didn't push their games so hard and spend millions, then it would be a lot cheaper. If they focused solely on gameplay and not producing the biggest spectacle, then this wouldn't be a problem

Honestly, if this cost $100 I would seriously consider getting it. Or if they bundled either Pokemon X or Y with it for $120-130. But at $130 for the system, it is too expensive since a used 3DS costs around that and that's more portable than this. But I will say that the 2DS does look solidly constructed

@FaeLKuN Pretty much what @Stebsis said. I'm planning on buying The Witcher 1 & 2 for PC and I'm going with GOG instead of Steam. Mostly they own it, they get all the money, and it has no DRM like CD Projekt Red supports

Seriously, I'll probably buy a PS4 just to play The Witcher 3 once it comes out. I'm so stoked for TW3 ever since I played 2. It's gonna be the Game of the Decade, calling it now

So stoked for The Witcher 3, I'm loving The Witcher 2 EE on the 360. I'm planning on finishing it up in next week or so. Now I just wish I had the money for either a next gen console or to build a proper gaming rig so I can play The Witcher 3. Plus I plan on re-buying 2 on PC so I can play it with mods to make it look even better

This is just ridiculous. I get that game development is a complicated beast where lots of work can be scrapped due to the gameplay not actually being good or the levels being boring. But blowing this kind of money, when it was EIGHT times the original goal, and only finishing half the game is disgusting. Plan out everything, and scale it accordingly. Don't just take a bunch of money, make a huge game, and then troll for more cash

I'm interested in the new console redesign since if the NextBox doesn't quite pan out I'm going to purchase another one or two 360s and jump ship to PC gaming. Hopefully this redesign will coincide with a price cut, which it probably won't, but one can at least hope. It will be interesting to see what the next design looks like since the Slim models look pretty sleek already and are vastly better looking than the original. I just hope they don't introduce yet another proprietary type of hard drive since their prices for space are completely ridiculous.

My main hope is that they'll actually show the NextBox console, show the controller, talk about backwards compatibility, show off some games (new IPs, not just another Halo, Gears, Forza line up), and talk about the future of Xbox Live. No BS filler about their strategy to unify PC, Xbox, and WP8 or why ads are a good thing. This probably won't happen, but I hope they announce online will be free with the NextBox will users being able to upgrade to a paid account for extra benefits ala PSN+ since paying to do anything online (Hulu, Netflix, etc.) is stupid and arcane. If PSN can offer that stuff to every user, so can Microsoft. Especially if the price hasn't decreased when there are bloody ads pasted all over the last few iterations of the Dashboard.
