You'll need speakers for your 360, yeah.  The sound isn't going to magically come out of your computer monitor.

A computer monitor is a cheap HD alternative, so yeah, if you want high definition, it's a good idea.

You have to sync your controller to your 360 just press the little button on the top of your controller to sync it.

k man thanks its working now but one more question...only one green light is displayed. all the rest are off. does this mean anything?
