But anyway, you just made my point for me. PC will surpass console in total revenue but this is only when you include f2p, browser based, and subscription based games. Which is what the article said leading up to the excerpt you used. Read the article again carefully.
If you only look at AAA sales numbers, PC is very far below console. Which is an uncontroversial fact.
"Games for PCs sell far less copies than counterparts for the Xbox or PlayStation, but that market makes far more revenue from players' purchases of in-game items, like currency and subscriptions to online multiplayer services like fantasy game World of Warcraft."
PC funds future subscription-based games and microtransactions. Consoles make the most money for AAA games. By a wide margin.
