Well that was a nice comparison. I wonder if the earlier release of the XBOX 360 has given developers the extra time needed to get the greater refinement. The screen shots can't lie and the side-by-side comparison makes it easy to see the differences (even if they are almost none). However, most of these games move along at a fairly quick pace making these minor differences in the visuals negligible.
Good job on the comparison Gamespot. I like the new way to view the different quality settings. Too bad Vista isn't measuring up to my expectations. I'll just have stick with XP Pro for a couple more years.
I've gotta rant about the NEW sixaxis remote for the PS3. Why in the world have Sony continued to use the outdated, cumbersome, and often painful 4 direction Dpad!?!?!?!?!?!? Every competitors gamepad has an 8 direction Dpad. I wish I knew why they continue to ignore this relatively simple and hugely beneficial advance in basic game pad input!!! ***shakes bloody thumb at Sony***
With the performance difference between these cards so minute, I'd let price be the determining factor. However, they will both soon be outdated with Direct X 10 coming out.
