Damn, ya'll digging up those post histories. However, that was yesterday. In my original OP I said my new rig, which I got from Newegg this morning.
Nah that was like a month ago
so you bought a new PC without any idea of what you want to do with it?
To his defense, I did the very same thing a month ago. Bought a gaming laptop just because I wanted it. I unboxed it and enjoyed its glorious looks, but soon I found out I have no idea what to try on it, so I started googling for some PC games.
Problem solved though, a month later I have 70 hours of Total War: Warhammer 2 on it. :-) Amazing game.
Neither makes very good open world games, I don't like rockstar's shooting mechanics and the shallowness of gameplay and Bethesda makes very buggy games that lack real charm.
Following devs have already made an open world game that beats anything Rockstar or Bethesda has ever made:
Well I started playing Starcraft 2 on ladder again after 6 years of only watching e-sport tournaments. Turns out I'm doing better than expected which resulted in two things:
1) I stopped using my PS4 for a while (despite the fact I'm in the middle of the amazing Valkyria Chronicles 4) and it doesn't seem that I will have time for my backlog for a while.
2) It triggered kind of retro RTS nostalgia, which resulted in me actually installing Origin (the EA "Steam" - I know, yuck!) only to purchase full collection of Command and Conquer games (yay!). So right now whenever I'm not laddering in SC2, I'm kicking GDI's bottom with stealth tanks in Tiberian Sun.
VC4 as amazing as it is will have to wait for a while... and I have no idea when I will get to Spiderman or RDR2...
Such is the age we live in now. 20 years from now, the "gender identity" mania and related #metoo movement, etc. will look just as out of place as this looks today:
