Totally with Israel on this. Why? Because it's practically the only socially and technologically progressive nation in that region.

When a religion claims that all "infidels" (read: non-believers) need to be converted or killed, and time and again actually practice this ideology in the 21st century, it becomes very hard to take their side on any issue.

Oh Iran, please don't ever change. You're a good source of humor on the otherwise dismal world scene (and no, we're laughing AT you, not WITH you).

I don't hate Clinton, but it's not really fun to know that the man you've elected and are paying to be commander and chief of the United States is spending his time in his office getting a BJ from one of his secretaries. This wouldn't be tolerated in any professional work environment, so why should it be here?

Stories like this piss me off. I honestly think the international community needs to do more to stop these freaks rather than cut down. I know a few Afghani women in Toronto, and every single one of them is passionate about women's rights, particularly in their home country.

[QUOTE="Blaze787"]

Get rid of Israel? The one country in that region that strives to be both socially and technologically progressive? Really????

GazaAli

Israel is not really socially progressive. Aside from homosexuality, the Israeli society is nothing to boast about really.
Technologically progressive? Definitly.

I'm pretty sure it's way more socially progressive than any of its neighbours.

Pakistan is notorious for the most brutal, anti-human behaviour on the planet. Women have had acid thrown on them if they've "dishonoured" their family or community in some way. It's just sick.

People commit violence against women in all countries, but the level to which it's taken in the Islamic world and the rights of women facing these issues is disproportionately worse.

Having just played all the Mass Effect games one after the other. I dont see why the second game is held in such high regard. I think its a great game but it had many issues. So many elements from the first game were stripped down instead of being improved. The vehicle sections are very few and far between. There is no inventory system. There are much fewer armor and weapons. There is no radar. The journal is less helpful. Stats are over simplified. The story lacks focus and doesnt develop much until the end. The story and characters are more cartoonish and silly than before. At some points it feels like a parody of mass effect. You cannot return to combat areas you have been to. The game feels more linear than before.

Androvinus

Most of these features you mention as lacking in ME2 were generally tedious or unnecessary to begin with. ME2 offered a more streamlined and polished experience compared to ME1. In my opinion, it was an improvement in every way, although the story didn't hold any exciting surprises the way the first game did.
