I'm still pissed at nintendo and this announcement doesn't help.

First. Nintendo ONLINE is garbage. Why would I pay to play Splatoon 2 and Mario Maker 2 (the two games with online capability I have) ? It's not worth it. Giving me emulated games I can have one my phone for free won't help. I Have simply stoped playing splatoon 2 since my 1 one month membership expired. I didn't renew it.

Plus, I have two switches, and IF I want to play splatoon 2 with my son I have to pay for thoses absurdly expensive games (yeah they are a lot more expensive than games from any other platform where I live, like, 30% more expensive. I mean, in direct conversion I pay around 75-90 USD for a nintendo game in Brazil. It´s HORRIBLE.

Now I wanted to purchase a third switch for my younger son, so I could have mine back, but I gave up.

Unless they come up with a family share plan for games I buy, I will just stick with single player games or games that have splitscreen on the T.V (which is what I'm doing already). It's a night and day difference from my xbox.

Right now I'm stuck playing online games that don't require a membeship to be played online (fortnite/paladins/warframe) with my son because I refuse to pay 80 USD for another copy of splatoon.

@mbrogz3000: Oh, digging the past is no problem for holding things against people nowdays.

Aparently I have a historical debt with indgenous people because the Portuguese and Spanish people murdered then some 520 years ago in south america.

5-10 years is nothing.

Go figure.

I still think the First Diablo is BY FAR, the best entry in the series. Best atmosphere, best sound track, best characters, it's simple, it's chalenging, it's fun. The ONLY problem with it is that it is short.

I still play D1 with friends from time to time, we always get really hooked in the game when we start playing it. We tried both Diablo 2 and 3, and........ sorry, we did note have that much fun.

I still think RUNNING ruined diablo. In diablo 1 we walked around in a fight pose, shields up, sword in hands, with tense music and tense enviroments all the time, behind every corner we expected to see death in the hands of a mob of enemies or a special overpowered monster. It is a tense game all the time.

But in diablo 2 and 3 this doesn't happen. What happens is a RACE between us to see who stomps more enemies, faster. We race through level after level murdering hordes of enemies, and There is no tension in that! After less than an hour everyone was bored of playing Diablo 2 (I won't even talk about diablo3).

Compare fighting andariel in the first act if diablo 2 with facing the butcher on the second level of diablo 1. We stomped andariel, acctually we competed to see who could do more damage to it.... The butcher on diablo 1, on the other hand, requires careful planning and strategy to face, that or we have to do at least 1 more level of the dungeons before comming back to face him and still risk getting slaughtered.

To this day, no game came close to diablo 1 in many aspects.

Btw I still love the simplicity of not having to deal with skill threes and other complicated stuff that adds little to the game other forcing you to learn complicated systems.

I'd rather deal with distributing points to simple general skills than working with a complex skill three.

Oh... I got tired just by reading how the game starts on this review.

Long tutorials? Crafting system? Resource gathering? Hunger? Thirst? Countless menus, building bases, micromanaging resources and caracters? Oh not for me!

I hate games that becomes chores instead of just a fun distraction or pass time.

@thechris9k: You said exactly what I was thinking:

"I'm getting the impression that you don't see the the appeal of portable gaming because you rarely go out."

No doubt about that.

@Xristophoros: YEah? Tell this to Halo 1 (15-30 fps), Halo 2 (10-30 fps), Halo 3 (30fps) Halo Reach (30 fps) Halo 4 (30 fps), Gears of War 1, 2 3 and Judgement and most other FPS games on the Xbox360 and PS3 (all 30fps).

Tell me if they failed because they run at 30Fps?

@Daian: AHHH shut up, we played games at much lower FPS for a longe time. I remember playing quake on 486 at 10-15 fps and having a blast.

I played several FPS games at 30fps on the original xbox, and the xbox360 (including halo) and never complained about it.

And I Have a "master race pc" but I would trade all this 144hz 144fps ultra hd for the mobility the switch gives. Imagine, going on a work trip (which I do a lot) and taking my "pc/console quality" games with me, on a handheld. You can keep all those extra fps, I'm fine with 30 if it's mobile.

Btw, I already own a switch, my first nintendo since the SNES.

I predict a game with another "captain price" or whatever yelling at you," go there, come here, get down, let's move, stand there, open that door, etc", while you can finish the entire game withou firing a singlr shot because your AI squad can do that for you and all you need to do is sit down and watch the AI play the game for you.

I really hate the current call of duty formula, feel like a rail shooter, with someone holding your hand the entire time, much different from the older wwII games, which allowed you a much greater level of freedom, considering the technical limitations at the time.
