Final Fantasy XIII had its moments and beutiful art style but it was such and empty shell of a game.. there was absolutely 0 roll playing elements, only turn based strategy... more like a strategy game one rails with progressive character building... just a bit. Mass Effect 2 was just on an entirely different level and it was made in a fraction of the time. If bioware would have taken the same dev time SE used on FF13, mass effect 2 would be the single greatest game in history. I wouldnt say the combat style of a game at all has to do with if its an RPG or not... is Oblivion not an RPG? The FF13 story was such a bunch of ridiculous jiberish.

I suppose the problem with this game is its just not meant for westerners... it seems like bioware and bethesthda understand what americans want in an rpg.. dragon age is everything i ever wanted final fantasy to be while final fantasy is going in a completely different direction.. it makes no sense compared to 12 which i thought was pretty amazing at the time.. FF13 is a very pretty game, and the battle system is awesome.. but for crying out loud the towns were the best part of traditional FF games. The battle system tries to be strategy based but since its basically real time, its impossible to play to be very precise.

Not really suprising at all since Final Fantasy fans probably favored the PS3 at launch since it was the big exclusive franchise for the system.. and those with both systems almost certaintly purchase the PS3 version, Im sure SE is quite happy with the 360 units regardless.. it could also be that the reviews scared people off and 360 fans have the superior ME2. I almost completely skipped out on FFXIII.. I ended up picking it up regardless and am really enjoying this game. This is the possible the best turn based battle system ever, and SE seems to have taken notes on the much more complex Atlus Shin Megami Tensei battle systems... this game is all about strategy, I just wish it would get harder faster... I wish you could start with a super hard mode also. The linear nature of the game is sort of nice after being at work all day.

This game sounds like its turned into my worst nightmare after playing these games since the original on NES.. completely noobified. The Directors comments on seeing people bored vs giving them freedom is just the perfect example of the sell out nature of this game which was not targeted at gamers. Thank goodness that Atlus still knows how to make a proper JRPG. Does this game have any replay value at all? Im going to cancel my deposit and put it towards Dragon Age: Awakening... I had been holding out to buy ME2 for this, obviously the wrong choice.

It wouldnt work. With apples cost structure, they would end up with a machine that would cost around $700.. with no disc (download only). I dont even think this itablet will work.. who needs that really? its not powerful enough to really do anything with and its basically just a $600 toy.

Its about so much more then you understand... first 10K is peanuts to many and thats really only entry level for a decent timepiece, and there is a certain sense of accomplisment in buying such a luxury item, as well as entering a whole new circle of people who notice such things, who are typically movers and shakers like your CEO, who might call you up to his office to discuss his latest watch purchase. Its a status gateway and investmentthat most people here will be a part of no matter how stubornly they are against it in their childhood... so if you dont feel its worth it, what will you leave to you children? a bunch of cash? a timepiece is one of the only things that will last. I have 3 generations of watches in my posession dating back to the early 1800s... or you can keep dishing out $500 ever other year for iphones that will be crack and obsolete in a years time because they are built like garbage in comparison. My BR02 can survive a fall from space.

in the 1950s a rolex submariner would run you $500, today you could sell that same watch for $8000-$10000. fine watches are a piece of art and appreciate in value. If you could afford a bad ass watch, you wouldnt take it off. Here is an example of fine luxury watch making. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MTj__XKPl5M. Nothing like having one of the most bad ass and complicated machines ever made buy a human onyour wrist.

A properly designed watch does not annoy anyone lol and its called you take it off when you tan.. you wouldnt be annoyed if it was a $5K - 10Kwatch.

gamerguru100

I'd be annoyed that I wasted $10,000 on something that informs me of the time.

lol I second this!
