[QUOTE="bigblunt537"][QUOTE="Ontain"] aren't you still reliant on your parents for food at that age? I mean even if you buy your own it's your parents that gave you the money. most 14 year olds aren't working...and at 555 lbs i doubt she would be.LZ71
It is the parents fault. You don't just wake up 1 day at 14 and eat your way to 555 lbs. This kid was always overfed and as he got older he CONTINUED eating like he was taught to. He's 14 not 21. He eats how mama told him.
Bull****. It's as much the kids fault as the parents. He didn't have to eat all that food that was prepared for him. He couldv'e gone outside and excercised. While the mom did do wrong, the kid could have done nothing about it.When was the last time you took dietary advice from a 14 year old? Kids are neither mature, disciplined, responsible, educated nor experienced. That's why kids need parents in the first place: to compensate for the kid's lack of life experience.
All kids do all day long is whine about wanting ice cream and candy. The average kid would have sugar and fast food at every meal if given the opportunity. Most parents are responsible enough not to allow them this, but if they do get to eat junk food all the time, they will develop obesity over time.
The mother failed, period.
