It's made so you can communicate with the people you're playing with. If you happen to hear a person "cussing" is probably becuase they got hit or died.

Call Sony. This sounds like a job for them. Forums unfortunately cannot replace them for certain things.

That first response about your PS3 being POS blah blah blah has nothing to sdo with the system dropping your connection. I had the same problem and it's an easy fix. It has something to do with the media connection portion of your network connection. This allows your PC and the PS3 to share files with each other over the wireless. connection. I don't know if you use this because I don't. There is a certain procedure to do before you disable it.

Do you know how to reset your system to display back in STandard Def? If not put the system in standby mode. If it is already hold the button area on the PS3 for power and it will go on. Continue to hlod your finger there and it will go back off in a few seconds (make sure you do not remove your finger. Once it goes back into standby mode turn it on again and it will revert back to SD. You should be able to then try changing the Res. to HD again. If that doesn't work I might recommend a call to Sony.

I had the same problem or similar. I called Sony and the rep told me to first go and open the web browser. After I open it he then told me to press the triangle button and go to the tools (I'm not in front of my PS3 right now) and first dleete your cookies. DO this even if you haven't used the browser. Second he then told me to delete the Cache. Tjird he told me to delete the Authentification info. Last he told me to go to network settings and disable the media connection or media server(I believe it's called). This should solve your problem if you are having the same problem I had. My PS3 used to connect and disconnect randomly. If not then when I get home shoot me a message and I'll give you the proper names of the thing you should disable in the Network Connections part of the XMB.
